Is anyone going to be there this June?
I will be there with no agenda so far, my dance card is empty.
If you have a table let me know the number either here or in a PM
I will try my hardest to get over to see you.

Haven't attended in many years. There was quite a group meeting from last year.

Made it last year, and the year before. I'll be there the first weekend in June. More later, gents.

like last year, for any out-of-towners (and locals ;)), if you are considering coming to BLADE, but don't want to spend money for a motel, I'll be hosting a weekend long BCUSA mini-meet in the woods behind my house for folks to set up a tent or hammock, camp and socialize.

I can handle probably a dozen people comfortably. We'll have access to a refrigerator and bathroom/shower, a fire pit and plenty of fire wood.

I'll be here Friday, Saturday, and Sunday mornings and Friday and Saturday evenings after the show. y'all are welcome to come any time but if I'm not back yet, I expect there'll be a couple guys who have been here before(@Keyser Söze @nograveconcern @Tennessee @hamanky ) to show you where the water and bathrooms are, just pick a camp spot and settle in.

PM me your phone number and I'll text directions...

EDIT: there's two threads and I posted this in both...

How about we set a meet time to gather up. Say 6:00 p.m. sat evening downstairs where the food court was.

No idea if I'll be spending the night this time, but I definitely want to stop by and hang out for a bit. Looking forward to the show. I need to pick up a bunch of supplies.

looks like a couple of you guys are thinking about attending this. I just want to say again, if the thought of driving (or flying) here and back in one day or weekend is making you rethink the idea, I would be honored to have you here.

I have extra tents, hammock/tarps, and sleeping bags if you're traveling light so don't worry about that. you'll have access to indoor bathroom/shower and a full kitchen/refrigerator (if you even need that.

one thing I was hoping, was that someone would come down from somewhere the other side of Lawrenceville, TN and could stop in and give a lift to @T. Pollock. I know he would love to attend the show and share a fire with us but isn't able to drive this distance, and I'd love the opportunity to return some of the hospitality he has shown this group over the years...

again, PM me for my cell number and address and don't be shy about adding a person or two to your list...

Well, Stoney River, right at the mall by the pedestrian bridge, has a nice ribeye as long as someone else is buying. ;)

Good point Ray. Come to think of it, they have a nice bar there too.

Honest answer though, I'm fine with food court Chinese. That worked out last year. Or we can meet down the street at Shane's Rib Shack for BBQ. That way we can get a table.

Might want to get there by noon anyway. Rush hour has already started by 2 on Friday.

I've got to wait for a tech to fix something at the house this afternoon, so won't be there until Saturday morning.

by the way, no out of town folks responded about wanting a place to set up camp so that's off for right now. sorry to anyone who might have been planning/relying/hoping this would occur but maybe next year.

I hope to be able to meet up with the group sometime this weekend but I can't make it on Saturday during the day. I might be able to swing by if anyone does plan to meet for supper if that gets firmed up.

I'll be attending either Friday afternoon or Sunday. anyone else?..

Just returned from Blade 2018 I traveled down with Island with my friend Shawn, who is turning out some very fine knives himself.
Two friends had tables; Luke Swenson who make top shelf slip joint folders and James Helm who makes cool looking bush knives. They both sold a gaggle of product and Luke was sold out by Saturday night at ove a grand a pop. It was so nice to visit with old friends.
I also saw a collection of over 2 dozen George Herron knives for sale, over 1,000 Randalls, including one believed to be Bo Randall's first knife on display at the Randall Collectors' booth, also several original Scagels, Morseths, Ruanas.
I did a quick visit with my editor who had very busy agenda but discussed a couple of article ideas.
As well I met several historic greats; slipjoint folder master Bill Ruple, prolific knifemaker Bob Dozier, purveyor A.G. Russell to mention a couple. AG sold me my first custom knife, a Morseth and Bob Dozier made it.
Dave Canterbury was there and I reintroduced myself as having been a fellow instructor at San Bernadino a few years back. I mainly wanted to see if he had changed from then...maybe.... but just a little.
What an experience... we also met up with Ben Orford from Great Britain who is a master tool and knife maker, he said he will be back next year and hopefully he will have a table full of knives and tools to sell...as well as beautiful leather products created by his wife Lois Orford.
Shawn and I hope to go again next year and even discussed getting a table.
I had my black ball cap on with OSO on the front and Old School Outdoors on the back in white lettering and my Filson bag to stash my goodies. I arrived Friday morning and was there for the duration...I didn't notice the Bushcraft USA sign on anybody , but with a hundred thousand knives to look at my eyes were scanning tables not the crowd. Sorry I missed any meets I didn't have my Ipad with me so missed the rendezvous posts.
I did buy a Scagel clone by D. Noren , a Puuko from Mikael Sjlaski (Tollsky Knives) from Poland who has some kick ass videos on Youtube and an antique Remington trout and bird knife.

We are still all young at least at heart and we can meet there next year with pre-planning.
