I ordered 2 on Saturday and the total was $72 shipped.
they still had a good range of sizes at that time, but I'm still waiting on my shipping notice.

I'm assuming they are in Men's sizes and not youth? I can't find any indication on the page.

I received mine a few weeks ago, and they are men's sizes for sure. They feel to me like they run a tad large, more like a jacket missing slash pockets than a shirt yet still easy to wear as a shirt, and a tad itchy the first time I wore one. However, I am really liking the two I have and definitely think they are worth the coin. YMMV

There is a link to a sizing chart on the product description page.

Got mine 3 days ago. They do run a tad big- perfect for layering. Loving mine.

That looks great! As a former scout, I'd love to have something like that, if nothing else, to somehow reconnect to those glorious days...

I'm waiting for the Scouts to settle their current issue before I get anything with the logo.

Got mine last week, they do run big. Great shirt, especially at that price. IIRC, they only used to come in red when I was a kid. My brother had one I was so envious of but they'd discontinued them by the time I was graduated from the Cubbies. Glad to see they're back.

Got mine last week from my local BSA shop which had the same price for ~$28 so I saved on shipping.

For reference, I am 6'5" 245lbs and the XL fits me good with plenty of room to spare in the chest and belly.

I am planning on taking off the BSA logo and maybe putting my red, white and blue Eagle Scout ribbon/bar on there or something low profile.

A Bushcraft USA patch should fit right over the BSA logo....

Awesome idea. An Eagle patch on one pocket, a BCUSA patch on the other!

Only suggested for those who may have a disagreement with future decisions made by BSA.

I got nothing other than the order confirmation either, jacket arrived about 7 or 8 days later. I wouldn't worry.

After seeing how they (my old troops) treat gay Scouts and my mother (and other folks) I would cover it up. Sometimes I am ashamed to be a Life Scout.

I think every troop picked on scouts... unfortunately, Boy Scouts are male teenagers.

This was not the Scouts. Most scouts are great guys and I would chose to spend time with them, but the parents who took over were highly unpleasant and very mean to everyone who didn't march the same drummer.

Let me just say, these JacShirts are AWESOME!! They do run big. Huge. Like, makes me feel 5 years old big. It's the same with their uniform shirts. I ordered a large and by the time it got to me, I tried it on and went to exchanges it, they were out of mediums. However, they are 85% WOOL, so a little hot laundry time and a spin or two in the dryer, and it's shrunk down nicely. Still a little big, but very comfy and allows for layering underneath.

    Get'um while they're hot

I was at our local Scout Shop to get a merit badge booklet and noticed they were on sale. I picked up one for me and one for my grandson. I was told they are phasing out the OD Green version (my favorite). Glad I made the score.

box was waiting for me on the front porch when I got home today -- nice shirt/jac -- good heavy weave, sleeves aren't too long or too short, like the color. Definitely have room for layering in it. :D we'll see how it looks after a trip through the wash.

Received mine today. Only 7 days after ordering. It appears well made but of course we are starting to warm up in the South so I may only have 1-2 chances to try it out before Spring is upon us.

ran it through the washer then hung it to dry -- no noticeable shrinkage.

My OD wool shirt came in, super nice shirt, especially for the price, thanks again for the heads up. I ordered an XL, thinking that since XL is my usual size, it would fit. I should have read the sizing chart or something like that. This XL is HUGE, a large would have fit perfectly, although I can live with the XL. They are out of Meduims and Larges now.

Sure a nice shirt and a great color. Too bad they are dropping the OD color. Even at the regular price it is a great deal.

Just ordered one for my birthday, I ordered a red wool one last winter and love it, but it's dry clean only.
They're still on sale, 38.19 delivered.
I'm gonna like the green, won't look like Santa Claus sawing up firewood! Haha!

    Thanks for the thread,

How about a vest made from a jac shirt?

You know, at this price, you could buy a jac shirt for less than 30 bucks - take it home, remove the sleeves and the collar - use the sleeves to make two (2) patch pockets - big open topped patch pockets - and end up with a heck of a vest.

I got mine last week, I absolutely love it.

They run more than a tad large.. They run very large indeed. I usually wear a big XL, so I ordered a large. Well, there is plenty of room left in the large.. Its too big to wear normally, but is perfect for an outer layer which is what I plan on using it for.

I do wish the wool was as thick in the middle of the shirt as you see it on the neck and pockets, because that's what I judged the thickness on from the photo. But its still a lot thicker than my Pendleton shirts, and more tightly woven.

All in all, a great must have piece of gear. I thank the op very much because for $38 total its definitely worth it.

Just received. Nice and heavy. I bought 3xl for myself plenty of room in shoulder and girth I just wish sleeves were a bit longer. I'm 6'4 285.

BSA green Jac shirt. Love it for the color; wear it for the durability. If I can find a way to put in hand pockets, it will be perfect.
I'm an XL normally. On sale they only had 3XL. Said, "What the heck" and got one anyway. Washed and dried on "hot," Now it fits perfectly - even has a homespun boiled-wool feel to it. After shrinking, the material feels twice as thick. I've compared it to new ones still on the rack. Some things work out nicely on this planet.

I purchased three of them when they were selling in the $30 plus range. I have only worn one, due to the great durability. But at $28 and change, I may purchase a couple more. As a matter of fact, I'm wearing it as I type this. It seems to be my go-to garment right now. Well, it's warm enough now for me to put it away. I have washed it several times and haven't had any problems. Now, if they just would reduce the price on the red version, I would get a couple of those also. Great gear.

tempting to buy one and shrink it in the dryer for a truly heavy duty winter layer.

Thread necro. My apologies. How long ago did these sell out? Anyone know where you can get something similar in a big size? I'm 3xl normally.

Holy grail. My friend has one in 2xl he's sending me for free. Pays to have good friends. Now I just have to figure out how to repay him back. With something even cooler. ;)

The (near) olive drab green ones were only made in 2013 or thereabouts. I know of some still being sold through 2015 however. They are fairly scarce now. The bright red ones are still available but fetch a somewhat hefty price.

A M-1951 army wool shirt is a close match (enough to fool the folks at the Scout Shop and others at scouting events), but even harder to find in larger sizes. The are just a tad lighter weight wool.

Glad to see in your above post that you were able to land one! Good score!!
