I would really like to get my hands on a brit army smock in DPM (XXL) but finding one in the states has proven difficult. Any suggestions?

I may be mistaken but I think there were some from the SG a while back.

    You could also try Fleabay...
Keep looking, one'll turn up eventually:)

Depending on how much you want to pay, Dropzone Tactical in Canada does a very nice version of the British Smocks in CADPAT and Multicam (and some others I think). They used to do a version in US woodland, but I don't think they show it on their website any more. Very pricey, though (and completely bomb proof), even with the slight bonus you get on the Canadian to US dollar conversion.

Mines only an XL or you could have it Panzer, although postage is a huge hit, and a British XL is only a US Large

My last MC Smock 200/112 was ordered from UK just a few months ago. I ordered it a little larger than my DPM smock 180/112. It was made for a giant. I can't imagine there are any giant Brits in that size. I still need to "take it in" for a final fit.

The 200/112 arms drop below my fingers and length is almost to my knees. I guess 180/112 is more my ideal size.:18:

I hope you get a smock.
I traded for mine in the desert and its a favorite for the woods.
Mine is a windproof desert DPM and looked like this:

    Now dyed a dark brown:

Its since been modified even more to just the way I like it.

I got my brand new in factory plastic package DPM British windproof smock for $60 Canadian Dollars from Finland. Placed order on 7th and got it on the 16th. CS95 issue with velcro on sleeves and shoulders.

As a rotund, 5 foot 9 inch, 250 pounder...the 200/120 smock, just fit around my 48 inch chest. The fit was snug in the shoulders, and no room to layer. I just ordered a 180/128 Helikon Tex parka in polish woodland. I expect it here, by the first week of August. After it's arrival, I'll report back with how things fit. HTH.

The Helikon Tex smocks seem to run a bit large and it's a roomy jacket anyway, so you'll probably be alright.

That's good to hear. I'm really stoked for it's arrival. Just curious: do the H-T smock pockets have attachment points for equipment tethers, as the issued smocks do? Thanks.

They have loops in the pockets for dummy cords, pass-throughs for power cords, small D rings here and there. I love mine; it's been my regular jacket for the past year.

Mine is size 180/104. I'm 6'2", 185 lbs. It's big and loose enough to layer easily, but can be cinched up when worn alone.

    As a follow up:
I received my Helikon-Tex smock, a few days ago. The size 180/128 is absolutely spot on. Length is correct (sleeves are not ridiculously long), and the width gives me room to wear additional layers without feeling as though the smock will blow out...lol. Looking forward to using this in the upcoming cooler weather. Standing by....

I bought a British Woodland DPM smock from Amazon about a year ago. Just search "British smock." Seems low on sizes and colors at the moment.
