It's always interesting to see Brown Dog canvas and items in use. Post your photos here and let me know how you are using it and how you like it.

    Pot Covers and Sami Pouches

Here is a photo taken during a coffee break while shed antler hunting yesterday. I'm using a brown canvas pouch for the espresso set. The green canvas cover fits a snow peak 700 ML that nests the Optimus stove, and a wool Nalgene bottle cover. The medium sized Sami pouch has my fire kit. The small Sami has my coffee. I struck out on antlers.

Some Great Canvas Made in Oklahoma!!!

Big thanks to Tulsa, you really knocked these out of the park. I tried to get the best pictures I could but I am stuck using a cell phone camera for the time being. Anyway, the cover for the coffee kettle and the pouch for the skillet were made by Tulsa.

Thanks Gungoboom. I didn't know that canvas is a match for the Frost River Packs! That is a nice looking pack!

I was surprised and obviously very excited about how similar the canvas is.

Tulsa is so awesome to deal with too.

The fact that he can whip up custom orders for any bag or pouch really rocks.

Beautiful set you have there my friend.

    Very nice pack

I love the looks of that pack. I gotta try to make a pack like that some time. I like the center sleeve for an ax.
I would love to know what weight canvas her used for that. How much room does that pack give you? What is
your load out that you carry in the main compartment?

The pack is the Frost River Isle Royale jr. The pot cover and skillet cover are from Tulsa here on the forum. I don't know all of the specs for the pack off hand but there are lots of threads about it here on the forum.

I got my canvas cover for my Dutch Mess kit today. Oh Man its nice! Quality workmanship shows oh so much. If you guys are looking through here and are waffling on getting something, your wasting precious time. Do it!

A couple of quick pictures for to make you jealous. Mess kit, stove and stuff fits easily and neatly with room for a dish towel or maybe a pair of gloves. Not sure what to put into the small roll top sack yet. Maybe some fat wood, fire starter, or just some kit in a tin.

I picked up two of the new Pathfinder Alcohol Stoves. I have allot of Joel's products already so I had him make me a couple of Green Waxed Canvas Bags for the alcohol stoves. All I did was send him the dimensions and here is what he sent me. I am very pleased with them and all my other items from him.

My latest purchases from Brown Dog Pouch and Bag. I wanted a flat envelope style pouch to hold my Bushbox XL stove and another to hold my small cook kit. The cook kit pouch holds everything seen in the photo, a Pathfinder Bottle and Cup set with lid, a Trangia alcohol stove with Evernew cross bars and two fish mouth spreaders to hang the bottle and cup over an open fire should I choose not to use the stove. First quality workmanship and fast shipping. Very pleased as always with the products.

Got my pouch, for my Donk grill, in today. Rugged goods that should stand the test of time quite admirably! Not that it was needed, and in the interest of full disclosure, I changed out the leather strap and added the antler slide to avoid having to tie it. Great pouch, Tulsa. Many thanks!

Just a big thumbs up for Tulsa

I just received a couple of pot cover bags from Tulsa, one for my Mor's Bush Pot, the other for my MSR Seagull stowaway pot, one is made of blanket wool, the other is cotton canvas, the material and workmanship is fantastic, great fit, great service, great price. :dblthumb:

If anyone is on the fence about getting a bag or cover for their gear you can't do better than Brown Dog Pouch and Bag.

    Thanks again Joel.

These have been working great. I took them along on my last winter outing. A Mors 1.8L extra tall bag and a Donk style grill case with a small Epicurean cutting board. The Mors tall bag also fits Growlers and my Zebra 14cm pot as well.

I have a few more things I'd like to have made, another order coming soon.

I got out today and tested out the waxed canvas/wool seat that tulsa made for me. Excellent piece of gear. Here it is on top of a Therm-a-rest trail seat but I also used it to kneel on while unloading my pack.
