Headed west once into "bear country" I told a buddy that my son and I would be sleeping in hammocks. He said, "doesn't that kind of make you like giant bear tacos?"

Not really sure what's going on here, but it seems to me that you're wasting your own time as well as everyone else's.

Steve, for some reason, the system would not let me delete these posts, I could not close out unless I left something.
If you know how to remove all these, please let me know. Without getting into a long discussion of why, I have removed all my posts and photos, but some could not be removed ???

It was autumn, and the Indians on the remote reservation asked their new Chief if the winter was going to be cold or mild. Since he was an Indian Chief in a modern society, he had never been taught the old secrets, and when he looked at the sky he couldn't tell what the hell the weather was going to be. Nevertheless, to be on the safe side, he replied to his tribe that the winter was indeed going to be cold and that the members of the village should collect wood to be prepared.
Being a practical leader, after several days he got an idea. He went to the phone booth, called the National Weather Service and asked, "Is the coming winter going to be cold?"
"It looks like this winter is going to be quite cold indeed," the Meteorologist at the weather service responded. So the Chief went back to his people and told them to collect even more wood in order to be prepared.
One week later he called the National Weather Service again. "Is it going to be a very cold winter?" he asked. "Yes," the man at National Weather Service again replied, "it's going to be a very cold winter." The Chief again went back to his people and ordered them to collect every scrap of wood they could find.
Two weeks later he called the National Weather Service again. "Are you absolutely sure that the winter is going to be very cold?"
"Absolutely," the man replied. "It looks like it's going to be one of the coldest winters ever."
"How can you be so sure?" the Chief asked. The weatherman replied, "The Indians are collecting firewood like crazy".

    PS -
May I just say , for the record, as this is the second joke including First Nations people, that I must make my sentiments very clear.

I admire and respect All Native American people's .

Their culture and traditions, Art , their approach to hunting, their way of life , their absolute respect for the natural world and all living things as well as non living things, their spiritual connection with the world , the legacy they have left here on Earth and in the spiritual realms are all a huge part of my life and how I try and bring my children up.

I don't mean to disrespect anyone by sharing this sentiment or that little joke in the above post or the previous newspaper clipping.

I just felt I had to clarify that.

Here is an example of the nobility and wisdom of these wonderful people.

You don't run through a campground. You can only "ran". It's past tents.

When people ask me if I want to have a crazy time, I suggest going camping. Camping? They ask. Yeah, it's in tents.
