Hard to say. But usually the axioms “you get what you pay for” and “too good too be true” are correct more often than not :)

Buy one and tell us! Maybe we can all chip in a dollar or two and make it a passaround!

Ukraine Products can be good. Euro quality at Asian prices.

I’d go in a few bucks on a pass around.

I wish they would show the spine thickness and give more details other than just "quality stainless steel". Although the knife looks good the sheath looks pretty corny.

Googled bps knives, guessing they’re worth a 20.00 crapshoot! Will be most likely what any other 20.00 stainless knife would be. DO IT!

They post the knife steel composition as:

    chemical composition
    C - 0.45-0.55
    Si - 1.0
    Mn - 0.5
    Cr - 14.0-15.0
    Mo - 0.5-0.8
    V - 0.1-0.2

They also say to keep the knife dry and oil it.

If that is the correct steel composition then it likely won't hold a great edge.

Their most expensive knife is 88.00USD. I strongly doubt this is some high end stuff, likely some rather inexpensive stainless steel. Some knives have forged D2 (would you forge out a knife for 28.00?), some 5Cr14MoV which is about like 420HC in a bunch of kitchen knives. For the money may be a fun thing to try but I wouldn't expect them to perform like stuff we have in the US.

I picked up the BPS-02 this past Summer.

THe BPS-02 and Mora Clasic #2 for size reference.

The BPS comes with a leather slip over the blade and no sheath.

I concur what @MichaelBear has already said about the steel. The 5Cr14MoV would be on par with 420HC similar to a Case Knife temper from what I have seen so far.

It is an interesting little knife. But I wouldn't waste my money on another one.

With shipping I paid around $40 so not so great of a deal. But it is is kind of cool knife the way it was made. I am considering re-handling a couple of Mora's with their style of build.
