Just got these in. I am really liking them for sure.

As with all our tarps they have tabs instead of grommets for ease of use.

This product uses a higher denier count nylon which gives the product the best strength at the lightest weight. We use tabs, evenly spaced, instead of grommets because they are stronger, more durable, as well as easily field repairable if the need arises.

    • 1.3 oz silicon impregnated ripstop nylon
    • Stuff sack included
    • Tabs: 16 perimeter and 3 additional ridge line
    • Weight (includes stuff sack): 1 lb, 2 oz.
Many people choose not to seam seal their tarps, but for the maximum level of waterproofing, we recommend any tarp be treated along the center seam, as you would with any tent.

All components of this tarp are 100% made in the USA.

Just ordered one of these, couldn’t have come back in stock at a better time. Was looking at my EDC bag this morning and thought I need a nice tarp in that bag.[/

They do just as well as the urethane coated ones. Sil-Nylon is pretty tough stuff

So, this is a hard color to describe. When you are inside t looks brown. When it is set up in the sun it definitely has a green tone.

Paracord (nylon) stretches some, the ridge line kit (technora) does not. Even before I got the ridgeline kit, I used polyester line because of its lower stretch compared to nylon. Also, nylon stretches more when wet, I think.

    I hate saggy ridgelines.

The benefits of the Ridgeline Kit are weight , strength, and low stretch. The prusiks make it adjustable and work for a lot of different configurations.

Correct. 550 is great stuff, but there are better materials in some applications.
