Hi guys, I am thinking of getting tattoed, and I would like to get a bushcraft/nature related tattoo.
If you have some pictures of your tattoo or of someone else, I'd be glad to see 'em, to gather some ideas.
Thank you very much lads !
    cheers

I saw a guy with a ponderosa pine done in black the other day. It was cool enough to make me ask about it. Google ponderosa pine tattoo for ideas but it was similar to this.

Of course the design that luck 1-2 has on this pouch could be cool too.

I've seen a lot of really cool nature/outdoors related tattoos. Pinterest has a ton.

    Here's one of mine. :)

Never got a tattoo and never wanted one. I always hated the faded out skanky way they look when one gets old. To each their own, but not for me. If God intended me to have pictures all over my body, I'd have been born with them.

Lol! I like Cody and Les infinitely more from a skills standpoint than Bear and Joe. Seeing as how Bear and Joe are among the most dangerous humans on the planet (both former special forces) my money would be on them.

    EPIC tattoo idea haha!!

I only have three, but I am thinking about getting one or two more. I tend to think about them for quite a while before I get them. These have been under consideration for four or five years. They all carry a message about something that is an important part of me.

Using that rationale I wonder if god intended for man to make fire? Surely we would have been born with at least 1 fero rod finger and 1 steel finger. Or maybe a combination of woods for friction fires lol.

What about recreating some of the tattoos found on Oetzi? Definitely a story to tell when someone asks about their meaning.

I enjoy my tattoo (grizzly footprint on my upper thigh) and am considering several more. My only regret is location, it is difficult to show someone without dropping trou. Just waiting for the right time and the available funds for more.

I was once thinking about two 'Kokopeli' figures dancing around a campfire. I think that would be cool, if done right.

If my wife dies first, Ill get it done. She'd probably divorce me otherwise. She hates tattoos. We're coming up on 40th anniversary. I have too much time invested in this partnership to blow it with a tat.

I have a couple tattoos; 3/4 sleeve on my left arm and two smaller tattoos on my right, but nothing 'bushcrafty'. That said, I have seen a number of different tree / forest tattoos over the years that I really like. I would like to go ahead and do another 3/4 sleeve on my right, and that is a top contender. The ones on my right arm are black, and the tree / forest themes I like are the same, so I may go ahead and have my artist come up with something to fill out that arm.

Leviticus 19:28 is old covenant law against cutting and tattoos dedicated to the gods of the people who were in the land the Hebrew people were moving into and to set them apart ..Acts 15 says as as a gentile under Grace/new covenant I am not bound by those laws. I researched it a long time before getting them

Good man u actually study. Unlike other Christians who just blurt out a scripture not knowing the actual meaning.

    If it wernt for Christians

Well to be fair we arent called to imitate other Christians. Were called to imitate Christ.

Kind of a weak excuse for unbelief. Wont stand up on judgement day thats for sure.

In any event, i can agree to a point.

I posted my tattoos to show that what ever you get it should be something close to your heart since it is expensive and not fun to have them remove . Lets Not get off topic and get the thread closed because of Religious discussion

This is a tattoo on my back of a pike. My father in law and I used to go on week long trips fishing for pike up in the UP. I got this tattoo shortly after he passed away.

Man... I sure hope that the guy with the Chevy bowtie is taking that picture in a mirror... otherwise, it's backwards.

I don't have any tattoos... but I think I'd like one (or more) someday... but what, is the question.

Still on the fence. Not for any other reason other than I can't make up my mind. I remember a certain tattoo I wanted for years when I was a teenager. Now that I'm 30, I am extremely glad I don't have that on my skin. I have drawn up a very rough sketch of something I'd like combining various things that mean something to me, but it's by no means finished, or even a done deal that I'd have it done.
    20150630_124417.jpg
It is a combination of a compass, protection rune, a rune bind for Tyr, with two spokes being branches for an acorn and a (very poorly drawn) pine cone.

I made up other variations on this, but again, can't settle on anything. Other variations had the rune binds as roots of a tree. Some had no runes at all.

I don't have any tattoos--I always seem to have something more pressing to do with my money--but there are a few tattoos I'd like to get at some point. Most are nature-related.

Specifically, I want tattoos of three plants that have great personal significance to me: magnolia, pansy, and honeysuckle. I also want a crow to be represented.

The only other tattoo I want is a religious thing.
