A few weeks ago my son and I headed out for a weekend canoe trip on Georgian Bay in Ontario, Canada. I took along my drone and shot some aerial video of us paddling along. There's been a lot of new regulations introduced here in Canada regarding where you can and can't use a drone (they are not allowed in National Parks or Provincial Parks, or near buildings or over people etc. etc.), but because this trip was on 'Crown Land' with no people or buildings around we were free to fly our drone. I have a Parrot Bebop 2, which packs nicely into a Pelican 1400 case - with the props removed. I use my iphone to control the drone. I also have an app on my phone called "Follow Me' which allows the drone to 'lock-on' to a subject - in this case our canoe - and follow it. This allowed us to concentrate on paddling and let the autopilot do the flying and filming. Please check out this short, one minute video I put together:

    Cheers

That's a scary-beautiful landscape. It looks like the glaciers melted away sometime last month.
