In case you guys are interested.

They have the 2016 schedule posted but will be posting 2017 soon. I'm very interested in learning to pole the canoe.

poling is fun and each stroke will take you much farther than a common paddle stroke

put a blade & a T-handle on your pole and you increase your ability to travel farther even yet

i've posted these pics before butt you may benefit from them again

    blade & T-handle added to 1-1/4" closet rod(non segmented)

buy an 8 footer and cut about 5" off one end for the T

split the bottom end and fashion a blade from 1/4" plywood exterior to slip in and fasten into it

fasten the blade w/ screws a/o thickened epoxy

i like to leave the bottom end a bit proud of the blade to give me a solid footing

use as a push pole in really skinny water

use as a paddle when the water gets deep enough

    ENJOY...
