After being off the radar for a while, decided to check back in and see what was going on around here. Started a new job in February. Well, same job, just different company and location. Spend all spring and summer fishing and recently got into building paddles and woodburning on them. Got a new pup in February also, so I've been training him everyday. Now just getting ready for hunting season. I do have plans to build me a pirogue this winter.

Thanks. I'm started out with just a plain burner from wal mart. But last week I bought one from hobby lobby with the adjustable heat range. Lots easier to do shading. But I learned on the plain model with one constant temperature and basic tips. I really enjoy working with the cypress wood.

No, lol, but I'd make him some. I have been asked to make a pair of paddles for Prejeans restaurant in Lafayette.
