We just finished our central Florida meetup. Had some new attendees and everyone had a good time camping in Ocala. The weather was pretty much perfect. Mid-70's during the day and sunny. Last night dropped down into the low 40's which is cold for Florida.

Thanks to all those who attended! @WILL & Mazie @One @pine flats woodsman @Usingmyrights

Looks like a great get-together. I like the shot of the pond with the morning mist.

Was a nice trip, gotta talk @El Duderino into staying down here. It was nice seeing some old faces and a couple new ones. I'll add a few photos as well.

A bit of fatwood, but it was a very deceiving piece as the exposed part was pretty much it.

I had a decent photo of camp from across the pond, but it's saying it's too large to upload. All of these south FL boys though complaining about low to mid 40s. Come up my way for the next winter meet. Flip a coin and it'll be under freezing or in the 60s depending on mother nature's mood. Either way, I'm looking foward to the float trip idea that was talked about a bit.

That was the coldest weather I've ever hammocked in. My 40 degree Hammock Gear under-quilt wasn't cutting it. Nothing life threatening, just uncomfortable. Live and learn. I'll tell you guys what, I really enjoy being out there. Hunting with my daughter for the first time was a special memory. Great comradery hangin by the fire as usual. Checking out others gear before buying is always nice too.

We had a great time! I will be heading up the next trip, we discussed possibly doing a paddle trip for the next one. If your interested let me know and I will message you with the details. The weather and company were perfect. The ticks were insane but no biggie. I think my son and myself made a few new freinds and enjoyed the outdoors, I couldn't ask for a nicer way to spend a weekend. Thank you everyone for being awsome 20180303_134528.jpg I snapped this pic while we all hiked into camp. 20180303_184902.jpg all of us except for usingmyrights slept in hammocks right at the edge of the pond 20180303_102825.jpg me and my son on the hike in 20180304_103549.jpg a picture of the pond we stayed at

Yep, I was the only ground dweller. @WILL, they aren't bad saws, just gotta get used to the thinner blade on the push stroke, they'll keep you honest on form for sure.
@Sinjin I thought I had tagged you at one point for this meet. I'll definitely make sure you're in the loop for the next one.

Thought I got away tick free. Nope, found two on me this morning. They're like ninjas. I'm not certain, but I think one of them even had nunchuks.
