I was at a swop meet in Grand Rapids Mn on Saturday, and picked up another nice and cheap Coleman 502 with a cook set; the cook sets are way harder to find than the 502’s. On Sunday, I stopped at a yard sale where a fella was selling moose antlers, and he had a couple of single burner stoves, on of them was this Coleman Peak 1 Mountainer model 3024 stove. I’d not seen one of these before, so I figured for the price of a hamburger and fries, I’d better have it.

Cool wee stove,,, looks like the Coleman 400B’s I have, and weighs in the +/- 20 ounce range. Best of all, it needed no fettling to light right up. If it is a rebranded 400B, it should be easy enough to scavenge parts for...

Does anyone here have a 3024? Information on them seems sparse, other than to say it’s just a 400B with a new model number...

Nice find. It looks to be in excellent condition. Have fun with it. Sorry I’m not an expert so I have no knowledge to offer, but I too admire them.

    Thanks a heap...

I’ve given away a good many of the 5o2’s,,, they’re a good stove, easy to fettle, but a bit heavy for hiking or carrying far. Pretty easy to find them for $10 if I watch close...

The Coleman 400’s, 400A’s, and 400B’s can be often found for $7 to $10, even less, and now I’ve discovered there is another in this lineup,,, fun find for sure, and it works very well. It’s like a minnie Coleman 533...

I’ve got a feather 400 A I believe. It’s in a trailer where I hunt at right now. I’ve had that stove gsince I bought it new back in about ‘93. Solid piece of gear IMO.

I replaced the pump last year, other than that it has served me well.

I recently picked up a used duel fuel 533. I dig these type stoves for base camp cooking and emergency situations.
