Well possumjon, looks like a kindred spirit......hope your Compton's weekend went as well as my Rapids Shoot weekend! Saw a few hide quivers myself.......gave a young archer a set of 4 arrows I that were not being used, she was down to her last one so the new ones arrived at a good time.....did find one of them broken later on one of the target sets today though....I've broken my share so I know it happens....

I've always thought possums had a nice pelt, its that darn smile that gives me the creeps!

Compton is a great shoot but ya gotta like being around a lot of people. Really great if your looking for gear, everybody who's anybody in the trad biz is there. Its a long haul for me for the day. I'm 45 min from Grayling, I'll be there next weekend.

Had a great time there guys. I personally don't usually like a lot of people but normally end up meeting a few people and shooting and hanging out with them.met two older gentleman this time and had a blast. Also met a guy in a canvas diamond tarp up and chatted with him about bushcraft and survival for about an hour. Ended up ordering a new set of limbs for my predator to.just needed some target limbs ya know lol.

That's pretty cool. I would have countered with 3 billion to see if he'd take it.

Ha. That is a sweet little quiver.
A buddy of mine once made a side quiver from a skunk pelt.

There's an antique store that sells pelts, they have some coyote hides. I've been thinking of doing this for my quiver.

Have you ever considered hunting or trapping them? I usually shoot a one or two a year while squirrel or deer hunting. A lot of people have success calling them as well. When i was younger I trapped a lot but not so much any more. If i get one this year and remember I'd be happy to send you the pelt

Eric Westbrook: Myself and anther MTB member will be running the Saturday night coon shoot. Look me up and introduce yourself if you would.

possumJon: We put possum off limits to kill at our camp. They have the ability to eat up to 4000 bugs a day including ticks.

Let me know how much you'd want for it. I am interested in trapping, but I just have too many hobbies for my income level. I went to a trapper's convention in Escanaba a couple years ago and had a great time!

I definitely understand that! That's also why i don't do it any more. I truly enjoy it but time just doesn't allow it. If i happen to get one with a bow I'll send it to you! No worries on price, you can have it!
