wow! like those Brian
@Sargent those look freaking awesome.
Using every trick I can. I can still see the hands of my Pops, HS shop teachers, trainers and mentors getting it done. When my HS teacher showed me how to use a masonite template to make a Victorian table leg it blew my mind and I think of him every time I make one.
Thank you Ken. You would probably like this pattern based on what you are into.
Learned a few things recently. What was once a crazy amount of labor is getting easier.
Those look amazing Brian!!!
Those look awesome. 10 of 10!
That's what it's all about. Never stop learning is a motto I live by. I have a training coming up in July that's going to be next level stuff.
Thanks buddy, stay tuned!
Got a 10 and they aren't even black!
Saw a random short video with you in it, you are a charismatic guy with a good sense of humor.
@Sargent Really? Was it something from the overland side of things?
Yes for sure; any available?
Yeah think it was, can't remember what it was about though! lol
Both of these will be.
I would take one if price isn’t too high for me
@Sargent probably was something with Mountain State Overland. I've been traveling with those guys for a number of years now. They're always a good time. If you get a chance check IG. I sent you some details on this training I'm heading to.
How often do you make Victorian table legs??
Is there something wrong with the forum or is it just my connection? Replying to posts, loading pics and responding to pm's is painful.
Those look fantastic!
your box is just full cause we've missed you. now step away from the computer and go make some more knives that we can gawk at.
The forum has been slow a bit lately. Might make it hard for some folks to type: 'I WILL TAKE IT' fast enough.
M3C Blackhawk. I was messaging with @Blackhawk60 when I was making this pattern so it's a BH60.
I am looking forward to seeing the completed knife!
love it! thats a great design!
Can’t wait for the Swadehead/Suedehead model. Lol
Meanwhile all I have to do is know what hat Brian @Sargent wears in the field and then buy myself one.
Awesome Brian !!! Thanks and feel free to send me one!!!!
Classic green and brass would be nice!!!
Had to use the whirlybird micarta on the first BH60.
Sweet looks !!
That is awesome!!
It is an honor, my friend!
Love that stuff....
Love that pattern! The handle pattern looks a bit different (at the ricasso), is that a Soultrean?
Very nice Brian-
It's a Nakai, different handle than the Solutrean. Nakai is a lot bigger knife.
8 inch blade? Certainly looks more then a foot long!
Yeah close to 8".
Absolutely stunning. What kind of scales are on that? I see the micarta weave but almost looks like wood.
Looks like that antique micarta! Beautiful knife!
The Twins are off to Jr High. All of us are really going to miss Lincoln Elementary. Good people and good times. I got a little choked up!
That’s awesome, but I bet bitter sweet for sure.
Yeah Kacie was a little sad, she cried through most of the ceremony, that evening and heading to school yesterday. They've been with most of those other kids for six years. It's a small school that might go back to the 50's. It's right in the middle of a small Mission town overlooking the beach. It has a lot of history and just a good vibe to it. They always felt really blessed to attend there considering a lot of things that have gone on in their lives and what we had to do to keep them in that school. A lot of the California schools are well behind others in grade level, this school is actually ahead of the curve so it was important for me to keep them there. I'll stop before I get political! lol
Paleolithic Hunter (Vogelherd) M3 wip ...
Love the whirly bird especially in that orientation (faux liners)...but then you had to shaman-ize it too? I am gonna have to gawk at this one on my computer vs my small phone screen.
Oh man, that is just sweet! Love the etchings and that paper micarta. Killer work.
Do I need to add a SET Pizza Cutter to my arsenal!??!?!
YES! Yes you(we) do! Personally a SET CHEF knife would put a smile on my face- cough, cough B ?
Someone is going to score a grail!
