The photo from that cave is ridiculous!!
For sometime we have been witnessing genius work... this maybe birth of all that labor. Outstanding!
Wow! Just wow!
I stole the photo, it's from Vogelherd Cave. Look it up, pretty amazing.
Brian bringing the Freaking Fire!!!
“Shamanize” for the win!
@Sargent please tell me that is going to a BCUSA member.
Holy crap man! Blown away. That whole package is just freakin’ awesome!
And that cave is awesome. I see where a lot of the inspiration came from!
Well done Brian
You keep moving that bar higher Brian.
I did take this photo, not as exciting. It's from the Santa Barbara Natural History Museum. It's an incised red ochre cake possibly in a unit of measurement for trade. These cross hatches and red ochre ornamentation goes back a lot longer than most would think. Most interesting part is it also spans the entire globe. Knifemakers have done similar hatching for a long time. I started doing it irregular after years of researching the Chumash, always thinking of the work as if finding an artifact once held in an ancient hand. I stumbled across Vogelherd a few years ago down a rabbit hole on the internet. Didn't mention it, don't want people thinking I'm any more weird than they already do. The similarity to what I was visioning was pretty much exact. I know I don't make friends by keeping my techniques close but sometimes people have to find their own fire.
Amazing to think what those thousands of years from now will find of ours. I’m happy to see that your work ties into those incredible artifacts from the past. Good to see at least one person appreciating the lessons our ancestors new and used in their work!
It just may
I should have known lol!
Give me the knife!
This knife is sold while I'm sleeping or working. I know that!
Is that one available?
Get in line
You're uploading to available knives today? $350? Why I ate a steak on saturday! I don't have the money!
There is one more paleo m3 in the works.
Hope everyone had a nice Father’s Day. I went by the shop for a little bit to clean up other wise watching the kids swim was the highlight of the day. Best thing about living in the apartment is the pool, the girls have learned to swim like fish so it’s pretty cool.
Life is good B- Happy belated Father’s Day!
You to Josh!
Ahh pool life as a kid! We use to sneak into other peoples pools at night and swim before we got a pool and my friends got a very large pool. Guess that is why I enjoyed going on vacation and staying in motels with pools.
Well there ya go! CF cross cut, Speechless!
I bet the weight/feel on this is awesome!
The future is now!
I AM DROOLING! but whoever gets that is gonna be impressed! Far be it for me to claim something that pretty!
I'll take it!!
I already called it yesterday.
Can whoever scores that one please adopt me?
I've never really liked carbon fiber scales... until now.
I finally bought this knife for the first time in a year. I was supposed to buy this knife directly from him, but with all sorts of things I declined. But I had never forgotten this knife for a year. The exception is that I buy a used knife. I can not buy Brian's kydex EDC, but I am very happy. I want someone to tell him that I am still a fan of your knife. Thank you.
Cute puppy! Blue Heeler by the looks of it?
Yeah, she's a savage.
Does she have a favorite knife?
This will do just fine for my first shaman.
That one is amazing! Beautiful dog too.
I have no money. If this knife is for sale and I am lucky enough to buy, I will sell my house and car.
I got a shipment notification today for my M1 and M3C....I cant wait to see photos and hold those bad boys in my hand.
This one got me good this week. Right across my knuckle so I can't bend my finger. Lost quite a bit of production time and set me back a few days.
I got a good laugh when I saw the harness package in the trash, Cesar made it big, dog already chewed it up!
That's a bummer.
I'm working an ems detail at a festival in the Berkshires tonight. My only patient so far? Me.
(I hate non-locking folders....)
Hope your finger heals up quick.
The knife, not the bloody knuckle haha
Sorry to see you knuckles dude, but damn that is the best Apache to date. Right when I say to myself I'm good. I have all the SETs I could want...... you do this...
Dang man!!! Sorry to hear that. I've been bit by a couple of your blades so far, and they are definitely NOT just nibblers! I hope you're healing well. Amazing work as always though!
