Braved the cold and snow and was able to fill another tag today, also helped a family member fill his muley doe tag as well. Now more meat to cut! Filling the freezer and living the good life here in MT!

Be safe and good luck to everyone who is out chasing their own freezer fillers!!!

Still have a doe tag and some elk tags, so I’ll be back out tonight!

The waist deep sections we went through were less fun, and getting up in the hills with all of it adds to the challenge, but yes I love hunting in snow.

Way to go Cody! Looks like a lot of fun and a lot of good eating. Make a pot of venison chili for me!

My post was from early afternoon, so “tonight” referred to an evening hunt.

That one is a mule deer, but I’ve also gotten a whitetail buck and a whitetail doe this year. I like them all, especially elk!

Easy to get a carcass cooled with that kind of environment. Nice work!

Congrats. I've seen 3 fawns and 1 doe. If the doe took literally 2 more steps forward, she would hopefully be hanging in the shed right now. 2.5 days to go in gun season, fingers crossed.

I used my BM Steep Country mainly, though my Mora Kansbol made an appearance to severe the lower legs at the joints and the head.
