This a design popular on this side of the pond , old hunters had them , also made forks and spoons , later in 20 century it was popular in Russia for killers as it didn't leave fingerprints lol (If you're a killer I wont make it for you lol)
But to this day I guarantee you can't find anyone make this knife at the quality I have made and generally its hard to find, made for a very special knife collector and bushcrafter from USA
80crv2 high carbon steel , high scandi grind , 59-60hrc , hand forged blade , mirror polished , handmade unique bolster which I came up with , it has kinda small deer hoof on the front , on top it has sanding marks of 220grit to look like hair , under that brass ferrule with a pin and of course a roe buck leg harvested by me :)
High quality leather sheath with welt and covered with natural beeswax

3 legs are left so if anyone want's to order one you know where to find me ;)
Your feedback is much welcome !

I had seen those before , very old method .
    You did an extraordinary job.
The blade and hoof are not my cup of tea ,to me that is more decorative than functional though I am sure as a knife it functions just fine.
It's just I can imagine washing all the blood out of the fir after field dressing something.

I wouldn't put those legs on a mountain bike in cougar country. You would make the local news.

That is amazing work..some of the old guys around here use to use em for knives too I think I have an old pic around here somewhere showing my grandpa with one. Would have been from the mid 20's
