LOL!. 109 this am. Kinda higher than I hoped but had a snack at 12 am...just cheese and meat so no sugar or carbs. Will test later on today. Maybe at night.

I saw my mother yesterday and tested on her meter. At 5pm I was 94 with a 5 hour fast. She still is not modifying her diet for her diabetes and is complaining about her level being too high. I mentioned that the doughnuts, cookies, and licorice being in the house is probably not helping. I consistently hear her say "that's my reward." She had recent surgery and was arguing with the Doctor who was the hospitals diabetic specialist wanting to take her off her normal medication while recovering the few days before release. I mentioned that the Doctor was probably concerned with her dietary choices off the cafeteria menu. The few meals I saw her eating in the hospital were very high in carbs.

At least I probably saw the light in time before it happened to me. Not being diagnosed, I'm now down over 75 pounds since August by keeping my carbs below 20 for most days since then. Learning about diabetes and how my extended family is dealing with it has probably been one of the most important things I've ever done for my health. I am going to do everything in my power to delay my getting Type 2 for as long as possible starting with getting my weight and food intake under control, now.

I had 101 today, but my average for the past seven days (a.m. fasting) was 103.1. Even on the days I was highest I did a post exercise, pre-lunch reading of 70 one day and 63 the next; and a post dinner, post hand-drill episode at 74.

I expect to be in a better range this week.

    A week's worth of morning-fasting averages yields 97.3. This morning was 93.

So we got 104, 103, 97 (then 99 at docs office) and 103. A bit higher than I like but that wasn't just in the am. Test different times over those 4 days.

Mine have been good lately. Since March 20 my highest morning reading was 103, and only two more were above 100. Today and yesterday morning were 91 and 92.
Working pretty hard in the garden in addition to watching the diet.

    Test results just in,

    Hemoglobin A1c 5.8 % of total Hgb

My 7 day average is 99. I gotta cut a few things out as the A1C is up from 5.6 to 5.7 and now 5.8 but on the positive that's way down from 12 to 7 to 6. I am going to push to dump the last 20 lbs. That should do it.

My morning reading yesterday was 106!
I figured that it had to be a fluke so I waited a few minutes and tried again=107!

I can't remember having that low of a number in a long time! I am not even going to try it this morning. Had a big Easter party last night and had lots to eat and even more to drink! I'll get back on track Monday after all of today's festivities!

I was 96 yesterday morning, but 125 this morning! No more cornbread at dinner time!

Then after moving some bricks from the truck to the work spot in the yard via wheelbarrow, the before lunch reading is 80.

104 mid day. Just ate a pile of rice with my sushi. I know better but did it anyways. Only savings grace is the meal was the only carbs of the day. Feeling better so might jog a few miles later tonight to blow off the white rice converted to sugar.

It's pretty hard on Southerners and Southern-cultured folks to stay away from cornbread and beans...but we've managed pretty well.

Horrible this am. Something like 128. I know better than eating a pile of fried chicken. Fell to 104 later on during the day.

Mine was good this morning, but mainly I think because yesterday morning I forgot to take the metformin, so I took it in the evening. So when I took my blood reading this morning it was 90. It has been being about 100. I'll see what it is tomorrow.

I'm still running higher than I wanna be, too. This morning was 106, with an average morning reading of 103.4 last week.

102 this am. Did everything right...... Jogged 7 miles the day before and ate good till....... 11 pm then I accidentally drank regular Sprite than than my diet (which isn't that great for me anyways just no sugar). So 102 rather than below 100 as I hopped.
