    A long time coveted video set about Dick Proenneke I'm still waiting to buy.Here's two videos by Bob Swerer about Proenneke,a man who lived in a cabin he built all by himself.

    I checked ebay out,but nothing there.Amazon wants only $28.50 for the same DVD but it's used.Beware buying used DVD's I already found that out the hard way.

    Had no idea there was a book!!!

    I loved watchin his "show" on PBS as a kid . Him and Marty Stowford(sp?) Wild America.

    As a urban kid that yearned for the outdoors, those two shows were IT!

    My wife bought me the four set dvd collection from his site. I watch it at least two times a year.

    Loved watching the videos on the interwebs. I didn't realize there was a book I guess. Hmm got to do some searching tonight and see if I can find copies of the video's and the book. Thanks.

    Is this the book that is being discussed? It's an adaptation of Proenneke's journals written by Sam Keith...great read.

    Or is there another different book?

    After pulling the book out, I decided to read it again. It was just as enjoyable as the first time...quite a story.
