Dropping the point on a Svord peasant

    I was never absolutely pleased with the blade shape of the Svord peasant. They did a pretty sad job on the grind from the factory.

    I used sandpaper on a soft pad to convex the edge, which seems to have been a good idea. The edge holds up pretty well.

    The blunt radius on the tip bugged me. It's hard to carve a flat bottom notch with that tip.

    I decided to drop the point and make it better for striking a ferro rod at the same time.

    Much mo betta.

    I'd strike the ferro rod with the blade closed.
