Thanks, but all of that was onboard. The 1945 US Army Field Pack only had a FAK, Israeli bandage, towel, and SAM splint :)

Phone and wallet are usually in my hands, keys clipped to my pantloop and P38 on my belt. The two knives are clipped to their respective pockets, so the only things really IN my pockets are the Microstream, the Gerber dime, and the Abraxas :)

I'm pretty unprepared compared to most of you people...

    Here's my EDC:
Heimdhals Hybrid Holster on a Jones Tactical belt.
    Glock 17 with a TLR-1s WML
    5.11 TPT L2 flashlight
    Jeep and house key
DL, PTC, insurance card, and cash
    iPhone 5s
    Kershaw Brawler

No extra mag, no extra blades, no method of fire, IFAK or even a PSK... I should be ashamed of myself.

As a Canadian I always get a touch of culture shock from these threads when I see how many Americans carry guns around with them every day.

I have no issue with it, just not something I feel the need to take to work or grocery shopping.

Since handguns are illegal here anyways I don't have the option, but that's okay by me

I live in a rural area and I'm not allowed to carry at work, but I carry everywhere else. After work I mostly hang around the house and my main concerns are animals. We have had several instances of rabies in my area, mostly fox and raccoons, and I have a five year old son that is usually outside with me. The .38 in my pic has taken several groundhogs and snakes and my glock 19 got a coyote last February.

If I'm am anywhere near Atlanta, I'm more concerned with two legged predators.

I have no issues with it, and would certainly never tell anyone what to do, especially if they might be carrying a gun . :4:

I hope this doesn't turn into a heated debate, but I hope to never use my home fire extinguisher also, even though I have several of them. They are just a tool to keep my loved ones safe... Just like a fire extinguisher. Only dangerous in the wrong hands... Just like a fire extinguisher.

I am surprised how many of you carry a firesteel...

For those that do, do you work in a remote area, or do you just like to be prepared?

    Pockets Dumping...

    image.jpg
    image.jpg

    The list:
    Timex Weekender
Fire steel ( carried for fun more then anything)
Colonial Electrician ( sometimes it is switched with a farmer or soldier Vox)
    Rite-in-Rain pocket pen
Bic lighter ( smoker, fuse 550 and other stuff)
Drive on rag with small yellow cotton hanky
Self made wallet with a couple first aid items
    Dog tags( no photo)
Steel stricker won in a GAW! Wear it for luck and usefulness
Note book made by my wife's awesomeness!
Entrek forester ( when down time arrives do some knife tricks and carving)
All of my clothes always seem to have some kind of cordage stuffed in pockets, either form pick up after soldiers or the kids... Now it is just habit.

Oh and sometimes my new phone on belt clip... There may be more.... I pick up nails and screw and random pieces of trash until I find a can. I have filled a large coffe can with lead and steel balances from vehicles.

@Vader990 6 months or so.....I ditch all that 'woodsy' stuff in town.... Some people have to carry it.... some want to.. I chop with a wood splitter and start fire with diesel.

Why Diesel ? Just curious. I like flares for real emergencies, only done once, and for bonfire parties.

No fancy photo work on this one... Just snapped a pic of my current EDC.

    WP_20150810_005_zpspmnhgb8g.jpg

Wallet + Contents (includes fresnel lens)
    Handkerchief
Keys, attached is a bit of paracord, SwissTech utili-key, Fenix E01
    Leatherman Rev
Cheap small folder for any quick crappy cutting duties
Nokia windows phone (used to take the pic)

Depending on my task at hand, or environment, a Victorinox SAK may be swapped out for the cheapo folder, maybe a ferro rod or bic lighter added when in wilderness settings etc. Those additional items are also always in my EDC pack which is near by or in my vehicle...

I just like to be prepared, that, and I like to play with fire. :)

Doing Bushclass Basic during the coldest part of winter this past year taught me the importance of fire, so now I always have my firesteel on me.

I doubt I'll ever need it for an emergency, but if I do and don't have it, I'm much much worse off than if I don't and do have it.

    ah shucks!

Yep the mini. Ive held onto it for a long time. What's strange luck is most of my good axes were in this small portion of my shop that didn't burn. It did get hot enough to shrink all the leather into a distorted mess but the steel is fine. Its a great axe because it literally fits in my back pocket like a wallet. I just wish the helve was like 2" longer.

Those pens are the bees knees. Fisher space pens.. this one is brass and gets lots of writing time. I especially like them because I can write on my kuksa blanks without the ink fading or seeping deep. Now that mini peanut lighter, well now I wish I got a larger one.. it runs out too fast.

You are right though, I could get work done in the woods with just this. All that's missing is a brew! :)
