You guys that have the Glock shovel are aware that there is a saw blade in the handle ?.I like my Glock shove.I have a USGI shovel but the handle borke. So a future project
I don't know who makes this, found at an Army Navy store.
My gerber tri fold is one of my favorite tools canoe camping and car/truck camping I wouldn't lug it around in a pack though. I took my family to a campground last summer and could have kicked myself for not having it to clean the ash from a thousand fires out of the designated fire pit.
It's the only tool I didn't fuss over too much worrying about it getting beat into the ground by my young ones.
For all around I would also vote for the CS shovel. There are others that are better for specific tasks, but for all around usefulness and portability, CS for the win, Gerber tri-fold is the back-up as itt is good but not as quick into action and a little smaller shovel head.
Back at it. 4.5oz, 26inches and 10.7 oz and 40 inches and 24 ounces.
My family use to give me a hard time about my e-tool in camp...until they saw it's usefulness...one of my favorite items to keep around.
