It's my main carry. A little on the big side but still good. I have it set up with the Molle back and pouch. It's a holy knife now cuz I beat the He11 out if it...:4:

    Sweeney,
Can you another for scale on that RC-6? That is too sexy of a blade for me not to drool and lust after...

Here are a couple of mine. I have another pair just like them, buried in the bottom of another pack. They don't get much use because I have been using my delightfully handy 840mg for most general tasks.

I went camping and took some choppers to test (and play with):

    Pics of Khukiri:

    http://www.gigatech.co.nz/Knives/Camping 2/IMG_8424.JPG

The BK-9 proved to be a good chopper:

The BK-7 wasn't nearly as good for chopping and was feeling a bit upset about that, so I let it have some fun batoning - which it IS very good at:

The 7 & 9 are looking a bit scuffed, but not that bad really - that is some tough coating! You can see in the first pic how low the reflectivity is, no glint of steel from my Beckers!

I'm not too sure which ones get to go on my next camping trip, there is a new ESEE Lite Machete (also coated blade) to test (play with) so I might time that and compare it to the BK-9.

    Here's mine...do ya say "painted ladies?" :)

    1. The RAT-5 is first generation, when Jeff and Mike first got hooked up with Ontario - I traded for it and know the history of it. It's never given me a bit of a problem.

    2. HEST is my EDC, of course....

    3. IZULA - I PROMISE I've beat on it...but that darn tan coating that Rowan puts on won't show much. I'd get rid of it, but my son has claimed it as his own, if fact I had to dig it out of his bag, lol.

The pack I got here off Dunko...great pack - awesome patch.:p
The ranger beads are from here too - Kevin (paracordist's) fine work! ;)

Sure...Here's my "Golf Bag" The 6 has gotten a lot of field time so the patina is working in nice now..

I'm thinking of getting rid of the 5. It's cool and all but I don't really use it because it weighs a pound just by itself!

I hear ya, bro. That 5 is a HEAVY BEAST! Handled one, but never bought it.

I think that's why I like my older style 5...like your 6. and I like the feel of the handles better too. ;)

Well, this thread has convinced me to order another BK11 just so I'll be able to EDC one and still have the other two for my packs. I had forgotten how much I liked them until I dug one out and held it again.

I got it by way of trade from a buddy in CT. I think he started w/ a mora and then finished w/ some naval jelly or something like that...maybe im backwards.. or wrong... wish he'd chime in.. he is a great guy!

    Mummigog to thread!

I also got that kukhri, mora 2000, buck vantage 346, and several other things from him. We do lots of steel throwing between CT and OK.

Sorry Bro, but I bought that new a couple years ago from Chestnut Ridge Knife Shop. The blade coating sure has worn in a cool pattern though. It's a great user blade, of course I use all my knives. :))

Seeing all the BK11s with the cord wraps, I had to give it a try. I just melted the ends flat to secure it.

What is your verdict PW on the wrap? Like it? I tried it out...didnt jive w/ it... removed it then trade for a set of micarta scales for mine.

I kind of like it. The tangs on the neckers are a little small to begin with, but it makes it feel a little wider and you don't feel the sharp corners.

As others have mentioned though, it will harbor dirt and bacteria.
