I have seen any threads on FK knives so I figured I'd start one.

I'm a BIG fan of Francis Kirk knives, he's a great guy to deal with and I'm his knives are meant to be used.

I have two, and they're awesome. I would love to try a larger Hudson Bay or Kephart style from him. I tried a forced patina on the straight one and really screwed it up, it's going to come off shortly. The curved one feels great in the hand, I made the sheath for it not too long ago. Really hoping this thread takes off, as I enjoy his work. My wife also bought me one of his flint and steel kits, and the striker feels great in the hand and works very well.

He really does make great knives and he's great to deal with.

And he's extremely reasonable. And you get more baba for your buck. I can get four or five of his knives for the price of some other makers.

And he can tell you about each knife he makes. Just a great guy to deal with.

No, I think he did the pouch. He's gotten away from leather for some reason.

I really want a knife made from an old saw blade for some reason and these are right up my alley.

That one you got Venmm73 is about spot on to what I would like.

The stacked handle one I bought from him, I bought the Kephart from another Facebook user and the last on I traded from Venmm73 here.
Most of the time I buy straight from Francis directly either as he post the on his Facebook or through our conversations. He was the first guy that I traded with when I first got into Bushcraft and trading and I had very little gear. I have dealt with Francis for 4 years and he is a great guy to deal with.

From having some of his earlier work to having his most recant works, he has improved very much.

As far as I know he is no longer doing leather work. So if you buy from him you'll only be buying the knife. But at $100-$175 you're getting a steal of a deal.

I was on the lookout for a British MOD Survival Knife when I picked the FK up in trade. Looks a lot like a British MOD tovme.
The sheath came with the knife and had another little sheath pocket on it.
After getting the knife in, I asked Francis Kirk if he could make a spear point to fit in it?
He said draw up a design and hellh see what he can do.
So drew up a design and sent it to him via Messenger.
The next day he had it made.
And the little point is a great addition to the knife.
I call the set upbmy FK/WSK lol

The two knives I posted above were under $100 each.

Was knocking out some Bush Class stuff today and decided to play with my flint and steel so I got a pic of the striker I have from Mr. Kirk to add to this thread:
