    Or in my case..Old man...:D.
I've been adrift from the forum for some time now, my excuse is a move from my old home in Sussex, in Southern England to my new home in South West Wales. It's only 300 or so miles in distance but to me as an Englishman the move to Wales is a major event.
I've moved to a very old cottage in a beautiful area on the coast. It's within one of the protected areas of natural beauty, a National Park. The opportunities for Bushcraft, camping and just wandering are endless, although I've had no chance to explore yet, too busy with the move and getting to grips where every official document, road sign and general information is of course in Welsh and English.

A sign in a town car park, reminding people to pay a small fee, obtain a ticket and display it in the car windscreen...

I cannot even attempt to pronounce the Welsh language spelling. But I will make an effort to learn at least conversational Welsh in time.

Some photographs of my immediate area, although once I get settled I shall post some of the spectacular countryside, sea cliffs and sandy beaches all within a few minutes walk of where I am now living.
The surrounding area, farming country, pastures and woodlands and narrow country roads although the Welsh Mountains are only an hours drive away.

On the way to my new home...well, not that new.. built in about 1660..:D

The cottage is in the grounds of what was once a great country estate. This is part of the stable yard and where the estate workers/ grooms/ gardeners etc; lived.

My back garden which apart from a small area where i can park a vehicle, backs onto several hundred acres of woodland.

The cottage walls are 30 inches thick and no two windows are the same size..:D

View out of the kitchen back door. My first task was to rig some bird feeders which were promptly raided...:D

Hey! Yn mynd ffwrdd....which is apparently, 'go away'...in Welsh..:p

I shall post more once the transplant of a Saxon into Celtic lands is complete...:D :D

Nice, those walls should be able to handle cannon balls.

Welsh looks Ike a great language for scrabble . I always get stuck with too many consonants.
Like moving to a different country . Never realized they actually srill spoke it .

There was a time that parts of this county spoke primarily German but it became pretty unpopular about 1941 .
I still remember early service at church being in German .
We in America don’t know what old is that’s for sure .

Sounds like a really cool place .
