Headed out on the old inflatable dive boat with my dad and hammered some beautiful rockfish and lingcod! My girlfriend ended up using some of the fish to make absolutely outstanding Chinese fish dumplings! (Think potstickers or Gyoza but with fish in them) They were fantastic! Check out the video and leave us some feedback if ya'll get the chance! Anyone else tried making this?
Nice! those look delicious, she did a great job, looks really good. Looks like you and your dad had a great trip to man. Awesome! post
Great video! Enjoyed having both the catch and cook videos in one. Potstickers are now moving up my to try cooking list! (Also, your girlfriend cooks kind of like I do: "...meh, this looks about right" and "we're basically just having fun here" )
That was great! I loved the catch and cook combo, especially the cooking segment. I love eating dumplings but I've never tried making them myself. It's now on my radar for an upcoming meal. Thanks so much!!
hello, @kevseadog Your G.F reminds me of my neighbours, very good friends Holly (Chinese) & Norma (Filipino) both great cooks & have both taught me various methods of cooking. You should see both in their very own unique way, handle a very sharp Morokniv cleaning fish etc.. Regards David
It was a great time and some awesome food! We served them as appetizers for our annual apple harvest and cider pressing (vid coming soon)! That's the best way to cook! More of a creative art then a science I think. Glad you enjoyed the content! Definitely give them a try! We have been fishing and spearfishing our whole lives, so I am always looking for new and creative ways to prepare fish. This recipe got two thumbs up from everyone who tried it! Nice! I bet they have some awesome recipes!
These types of posts is the best reason to come here often and look for updates....awesome meal and something new for me to try to cook...my diet can start next week.
