I use orange tape for a lot of my stuff... mini and micro flashlights are both black, but show up better when I drop them now because of a strip of orange tape. FAK, Fishing Kit, and Repair Kits all have orange tape closures. I used a strip to make a pencil holder on my green Writes in Rain notebook.

There's a whole aisle of different colors and patterns of duct tape (don't know if it's Gorilla brand or not) at Walmart. My repair kits all have some sort of Gorilla tape stash, and it's what I used on both of my Whelen lean-to's.

Oh sure. Now they come out with it.
I tried to find some in my area.... AND Amazon... and ended up using black with orange paracord on my large ferro rods.
    'bout time.

It's great stuff! I have not used it long but so far it seems as durable as the regular black version.

The multi color stuff in most of the big box stores are short rolls of Duck brand tape. It's okay, but not near as robust as Gorilla tape.

I used some of the Camo Gorilla Tape on my tree stand. It doesn’t seem to stick as well as the regular I noticed it was a lot easier to pull off the roll.Don’t know about the orange

Hopefully they bring it out in the "gorilla tape to go" 1" version.

+1 to this! That's the first thing I thought when I ran across the big rolls- hey, is there a 1" roll!? I love those Gorilla Tape To-Go packages, almost more than the full sized rolls because a big roll is a bit much for most of my packs and kits. Often I'll do a re-roll around a CC or lighter but it never sticks quite as well the second time IMO.

It's kind of funny just how completely I've "flipped the switch" in my mind away from black for stuff and towards orange. It used to be my preference for gear, knives, packs, etc was kind of like Henry Fords- you can get any color you want so long as you want black. But after spending an hour looking for a knife I laid down while gathering wood once I had an epiphany; dark stuff is easy to lose! Now I've been adding orange paracord lanyards to my knives and firesteels and when I can, getting orange scales for my bushwhacking knives. I still like black but anything that I need to tape up in the woods might as well be easy to see as well.

I agree on the changing of colors over time.. I've went from tactical to practical.. Orange is usually my first choice for anything I know I'm likely to lose by sitting down. The to go packs are great. I have a roll in almost every pack I have. I might contact them and see if there is any plans for the 1" rolls in orange.

Agreed. I liked earth tones until someone gave me an ESEE with the orange handle. Even at dusk, from 20ish yards away, it showed up nice and bright. I still like to not stand out in the woods too much, but if I don't want to lose it, orange tape is the way to go.

Sounds like Gorilla Tape in orange will be even better than regular.

Our local Unclaimed Freight warehouse has the orange Gorilla brand duct tape in huge piles; practically giving it away. Must not be as popular to the general public.

I think it's great for "blazing" a tree so that I can find my way back if I'm hiking on an unfamiliar trail.
