Haha that's funny Andy. Jarrod, WTF, is that green mold from? Lol
It is an Ivan style military target...
I had quite a few in my yard for target practice... until someone else decided they wanted them... only one remaining. I will have to make a stop at the base to see if I can’t get a few more.
I forgot to add the silly video, here it is.
Some scrapping for shaping!
First attempt at a wood spirit Christmas decoration ever...
Not quite what I imagined...
Got some learning to do on this.
I love this knife! They are going to have to pry it from my dead hand...
That's great Fixedblade.
Just some poser pictures...
A few of my favorite things...
Playing with the color filter...
Thanks again and Happy Holidays everyone!
Picked up this 5 1/4 inch 3V Deer Creek today. This knife spews awesomeness.
Scott has a Tusker with what I think is snakeskin scales, 3V and a spear point to boot for sale. I seriously drooled a little.
I took a couple of pics before she gets dirty tonight. The Deer Creek handle is the most comfortable for me in every grip. Scott knows how I like em and contoured this one perfectly.
Lucky break stopping by the shop Andy. You happened upon that DC I just finished.
You've been rockin' that 3V WSK Jarrod. Only 3V WSK of mine ever made.
Working on some bush classes I forgot to finish...
There you go.. showing "that knife" again. Love the pics bud!
Just working on some fieldcraft and tracker knife projects.
Improvised woods vise, and blow gun darts.
Knife works good to hold a small hearth as well...
I finally got my hands on one of my Grail knives.A Short bolo this a very well designed knife.
Thank you Mr T,now I might be on the hunt for a smaller companion.
Happy Christmas Everyone!
Got a new knife to play with!
An awesome Anniversary edition!
I really like the forward belly on your knife. Great Score!
Just some hand drill friction fire practice today.
Haven’t done a family shot in a while.
That's a good looking family you've got!
Just splitting up some fatwood.
Some stuff I have been up to...
Working on an Otzi inspired pack frame.
Pine resin and charcoal glue stick with breakfast...
A little bit of today...
I was fortunate enough to pick this WTK up I received it in unused like new condition.1/8"A2 does not get any better.
I really like thinner blades! 1/8” is very durable and allows for fine work as well as heavy.
Couple more blade shots from yesterday. First run with the Boreal shirt and BBT after back from Scott. Perfect combo; now just need a smaller companion in the same A2/green black combo!
Can I call dibs now if you ever want to sell that Bolo?
8 F outside this morning. The wind has finally died down so it's time to get out of the house before the kids lose their minds. Campfire time. I went a couple of hours earlier than everyone else to get things set up. This is what the bomb cyclone storm left me to work with. There's a fire pit under there somewhere.
A little digging, a nice upsidedown fire stack, and some fatwood curls courtesy of my Tusker.
A big pot of chili on the tripod, a warm fire, and 20 friends on the way.
5 hours later and everyone is home and warm and full and happy and tired. Doesn't get much better than that.
I think I have a problem...
Maybe an addiction... or affliction...
My newest acquisition thanks to @GKiT
O1 and Osage! Who wouldn’t want to have that in their grasp!
I guess the best medicine is to just keep getting them!
I have already started making feather sticks, and working on a “Do Stick”.
I’ll keep you in mind for sure.
Man that is nice. My trading affliction is so bad I can't remember if I've owned that or not. I think I'm thinking of the Polaris Osage A2 that Andster and I traded back and forth like it was a baseball card.
That is nice though, and if I ever owned it and traded it, I'm a fool.
Playing in the rain with my Gossman WST...
This Honey Locust is pretty tough... I actually might need to sharpen up my 3V knife now.
Getting ready to start up my grill...
I must say it is very satisfying to clean up a Gossman and re work Obeneaufs into the micarta! Yeah Friday nights are real party nights here!
Why the Obeneaufs on the micarta?
Gives it a better feel. Less dry chalk board ish if that makes sense? I also find it gives a bit of extra grip and also looks much nicer.
Makes perfect sense. I'll clean up a few today and give it a try! I've used it on wooden scales, but can't remember ever using it on micarta other than what was on my hands after wiping a blade down with it.
Managed to get away a bit this afternoon for a walk with Scout Dog. Didn’t get a lot of photos due to chasing the sun to get a fire going before darkness. BBT OG was the only sharp brought along with my High Range Man Bag/satchel/haversack.
