Well, plans have changed and now I have added this to my calendar. You can expect me and my youngest son to be in attendance. Can't wait to meet you all! :dblthumb:

My wife and I welcomed a son in August, and I have my hands full at home, so I think I'll be sitting this one out this year. Have fun guys!

I was hoping to make it, but unfortunately, it's not going to work this year. Too much family stuff going on to feel right about taking "me time". Hopefully next year and have fun to all those going!

Do not drive your vehicle back into the campsite area. Very wet back there from all the rain this year.

@S.Gossman This will be my first year, and I am looking forward to it. Should we bring our own cooking gear, etc? I realize you won't want a fire at every single tent site so I was planning on bringing my small stove for meals.

    The weather will be beautiful!

Yes bring whatever gear you think you will need. There will be a communal fire for cooking use. I have a well pump for water.

Can hardly wait. This should be an excellent weekend, so long as Michael cooperates!

Where would you like us all to park, or will it be marked?

    Thanks,

Scott, this is about a half hour drive, I think, depending on traffic. Wife's plans for weekend still fermenting in her brew pot... pending that outcome, I may stay Fri and Sat nights, or may just come up for the day Saturday. Regardless, I will be there.

I hope you folks have a spectacular time!

I'm going out and build a fire, perhaps throw up a tarp, and play with my Deer Creek while you all are down there.
It won't be the same. But I'll be there is spirit.

I'm pretty bummed. I was so looking forward to meeting many of you.
Scott and Dave were just icing on the cake.

Saturday is my birthday. I was hoping to hoist a brew in the company of MR. T and the rest of you savages.

Double edge? Kev says the point is more important for combatives. Double edges look cool but they are still not practical. We have a couple ideas in the works. They get better with more Tin Cup.

I'd like to see your take on a combat knife in your style. Something classic like Sykes Fairbaign. I think you would clush it

My survival knives are from Gossman for a reason. If you want the best combative knives, look at what my tribe brothers are doing over at Headhunter Blades as well as Atienza Kali blades. The biggest blade is not always the best. I carry an Atienza EDC4 as well as a Atienza Overlander when abroad.

This weekend, if anyone is interested, there will be over $1000 in giveaways as well as prizes for firestarting and other challenges. We will have contests, seminars, an epic trade blanket, and shenanigans for all. You don't want to miss this event. If you do, you'll regret only lurking online and not getting out to meet the folks who do it for real. All skill levels are welcome and we're here to have a great time together. Stop by and learn something!

Thank you brother. Been working hard behind the scenes over the years and have been plugging along doing more in print magazines than forums. I recognize those blades and have my prototypes here for the weekend. Use them hard and post up some photos. I like knowing guys and gals are using the blades Scott makes as intended.
