This is so amazing! Thank Mike for his service, and you and your wife for being such wonderful parents. Hats off to Home Depot. I can't think of a more deserving bunch.
That's awesome! Very happy to hear you guys have stepped onto smoother trails.
Wow..that is amazing. It's great that well deserving folks get real help when they need it. Godspeed to all of you and thank Mike for his service and great sacrifice while serving.
Really great to hear such good news and that "Good People" do get a well deserved hand when they need it.
Kudos to Home Depot too.
Wishing you guys all the best in your future and hoping the work gets completed soon.
Now, if "corporate" approves only some of what the crew requested, contact Habitat for Humanity. They might be able to work on the remainder that needed to be done. I understand they also do that sort of thing.
I bet Mike really likes that back deck . I’ve seen the views of those beautiful mountains on some of your posts . Hope they make it easier for him .
So much awesomeness. Off to HD to spend some money. Good on them and good for you and your family.
I was typing out my response but found this post says it best.
No words adequately say how happy I am for you and your family. @NevadaBlue
Home Depot is awesome. I bought a water heater from them and it failed on a sat. They gave me a new one and money to hire a private company to come out on an emergency call and install it rather than wait for one of thier contractors. I left the store with a new tank, and a handful of cash. Felt like a bank robber. Highly recommend them
Id like to thank Mike for his service. And you and his mother for helping him. It makes me sad to hear this but im glad there are good people around doing good to make his life alittle better.
Best news I have heard in quite a while! So happy for Mike and the family. This made my holiday! God is great!
First of all, thank Mike, for his service.
You've no idea how happy I am, for all of you. Like they say, good things happen to good people.
Very happy for you!
I shop at Home Depot from time to time, but I plan on doing more business with them. Didn’t know they supported Veterans.
Thank Mike for his service! Glad he made it hone!
Gary Sinise also does great things for Veterans if you run into any snags.
Red Circle Foundation for Special Forces Veterans.
There is the Travis Mills Foundation founded by a quadruple amputee. His story is very inspiring! He offers getaways, support and camaraderie for wounded Veterans.
There are many more out there too.
I have read this about 10 times, trying to fit words to fingers and each time I would not hit the post button. But here goes....
First, a huge thank you to Mike for his service!
Second, that's awesome!
I hear and read articles about vets and mistreatment so often it gets sickening.
When I hear or read something like this it puts a huge smile on my face. I wish more companies and people would do things like this.
In these times of fake or phony news, it is awesome to hear real, heart warming news like this. And although you receive the direct impact, we all share in the indirect.
That is such great news. God bless everyone involved in this project. Mike deserves so much more.
I was unaware of Home Depot ' s work in this area. I have a Lowe's and a Home Depot equidistant from me. I now know where I'll be spending my money.
I'm really glad they do this for Mike,it makes his and your life a bit easier
its not always necessary to have the same blood in your veins to be family, family is where you find it.
My deepest respect to Mike, thank him for his service
Good on you.!
To be fair, we don’t have a Lowes here. But, when I looked up the info about Veteran support, both Lowes and Home Depot were on the same page in BIG letters. I suspect they both do good deeds in this respect.
We go tomorrow to meet with the folks at Home Depot and pick out flooring.
You're right, I shouldn't sell Lowe's short. Thank God there are many businesses willing to step up for our wounded warriors. I always want to spend my dollars on worthy companies.
Hey there my friend. Your OP got me to thinking. I would suggest (only) that you have a smoke of that pipe of yours out back as the sunsets and relax and offer some of the smoke up in thanks to who ever or what ever you derive your life to.
Warmest regards and thanks for sharing the good news!
