I'm wanting a great eastern Sunfish so bad I cant stand it but damn 399.00 for a knife I know I wont do anything with but put in a drawer..... still waiting on a reasonably priced AG Russel sunfish as well..... something sub 150.00ish I'd snap up in a second.... /sigh

Well looks like, I didn’t get the Cocobolo #93.
Olde Towne Cutlery over sold their stock. This is the second issue I have had with them and am over buying from them! If it means I lose out on a few GEC’s so be it. They have horrible customer service & won’t get another penny from me!

Well crap! That stinks man. From what I can tell there are still a bunch of cocabolo coming. Hopefully you get one elsewhere

I’m just not dealing with them anymore. There are plenty of other sellers out there who are great.

I’m really liking the feel/weight of these Farm & Field GEC’s!

For the price, they are great little knives :dblthumb:.

I wish I had one of those cigar/barrel shaped ones. The serpentine is neat too I feel like I could use it like a draw knife on my moose.

    RonC,

Great choice. I have the #54 Big Jack which is the same but it just has the blades coming off one end. Because of the cigar pattern, it fills the hand and is comfortable for heavier work.

Geoff, I have one of those Big Jack's as well. I had it re-scaled by a friend from the cougar-clawed bone to a very nice amber jigged bone. It now belongs to my Grandson!

That micarta one is the only knife with a bolster I've ever liked. I would love one of those (thought I could do without the shield).

Maybe they'll make a farm and field tool version with just micarta and pins. I would jump all over that.

I used to Team Rope Long Horns so it was only fitting that I hunt down this GEC # 66 Roper.

I hesitate to open this door, but I have to ask.
Is there a lockback wharncliffe single blade model with a 4" or so handle?
    I hope not...

My Cocobolo 93 should be here today. Per USPS it is “Out for delivery”. I’m stoked!

Hopefully they will drop it off soon. I am very pleased with the cocabolo I got this morning. I was going to buy anther one and keep the one I liked the best. But this one is so nice I may just buy a possum skinner instead

You got a great example of Cocobolo. A nice straight grain & two toned color!

The Possum Skinner has some beautiful scales too. The color is even more rich/deep in person.
Haven’t checked who still has them in stock, but they should still be available.

I am really digging the grain on this too. Cocobolo is such a beautiful hardwood!

This is my 2014 model #77 Jackknife in antique mustard bone. Came with a spearpoint, but I wanted a clip (which GEC did not make at the time), so I re-ground the spear to a clip.
Excellent knife, that fits well in a pocket! And it's a lot like the one Kephart mentions in his 1906 edition of "Woodcraft & Camping!"

While I now have GECs ranging up to the large Coke bottle size, I sure like the little Pembertons. Great 'watch pocket' blue jean knives. ;-)

Fun model, and I think its kinda underrated, especially with that wharncliffe blade!

If you meant to send that to me, it's a #99 Wall Street, but since there was only 1 knife in my pic I think you may have meant to tag somebody else??

I am finding the #66 the perfect knife . It is just the right size for the watch pocket and has the kind of heft a good solid working knife should have. I like the fact that the blades do not rub, at least mine do not. The blades are robust and ready to take on the heavies. The knife is sort of like that short little stocky guy that you just don't want to make mad. I wish more covers were available for it to my liking. I'd be tempted to get at least one more for good measure.
