Stunning, to say the least. Wood?
IMHO. THERE IS NOTHING like case colors and figured walnut!
Needs a nice stag handled knife with that pic!
I had a chance to buy a Walther Single shot Bolt gun some years back. Its action was smooth like glass rods. But someone had bored holes all over it with at least two different scope bases that had been removed and no filler screws added. The holes where not nicely done and a flat was filed on the top of the barrel assumingely for a scope objective.
The price was high but we where working on a agreement with its consigned owner.
I went back a week later after talking with the shoo that week and the doors where locked and the sign said closed. I never found out what had happened a d I did not buy that gun.
But I remember that like it was yesterday some twenty five years ago...
Unsure of exact model number. It was a older gun I estimated 1950’s.
Damn, brother. Just.....damn.
A few pistols:
And the one I reach for the most:
Wish I still had this, a Springfield Champion .45
Was an 8+1 bucket slinger!
Out for a shot with my m1A
Took out my Single -NINE last night. She is a shooter!
Nice round golf ball groups from Win Sub Sonic and Speer Gold Dots @ 50 yards.
I had a different site mounted and found this one in my box of tricks. Seems better on here.
Not the prettiest stag I have seen. But its a set of Eagle Grips I picked up some time back.
Couple of classics from opposing sides during the Cold War Era
Your posts bring out the Red Dawn in me!
Picked up a pair of Mossberg 500's from the LGS, both 12's. Ended up with both for $350 out the door. Not the deal of the century or anything but good enough for me. The long one has Houge overmolded furniture so that will stay. It needs the four screws in the top of the receiver though. The shorter one will be getting Magpul furniture to replace the crap ATI stock.
My berry picking companions. If you're going to run in to a bear, your odds go up significantly in a berry patch on a July evening.
New to me .577 Snider Rifle.
Now to make some ammo for it.
Out for a hike today, took along the ever faithful M1a.

Bet that’s snappy...didn’t Taurus discontinue the polymer judges a few years back? Nice!
Guns are scary. Ironically, I'm triggered.
Its all in ones point of view. Never had a problem tho. Wanna shoot my Ruger Alaskan 454?
I sure hope its still offered, I think I “need” one now!
Just like mine. Not snappy, but will bump your knuckle a bit. I changed my grips and that helps.
Had to prove to some Brit veterans that I actually owned pistols I posted about.
M1911 from Dec 1913 (since traded).
M1911A1 from 1943 (modified).
Ruger makes some of the best single shot rifles around. Owned six but down to three now
My Ruger EC9s and Ontario Rat 2 have been my trail companions this summer. Actually they've both been with me bout every time I've left the house.
I put the two grown up adults in the same case and look what happened over night !
A bouncing baby 1911
A new family. Mom, Dad, big brother and little brother.

My new IWI X95 with Meprolight Tru-Dot rds , Mx3 magnifier and Savvy Sniper Quad X Cobra sling
This thing is awesome but has put me in the poor house for a while
Just shoot from the porch.
It was like leaving a pet store and a puppy with sad eyes was saying " Take Me Home ?
So I took this little guy home to meet his new family.
A Hogue grip for a Shield 9 fits very well. It adds a little more bulk to the grip, not sure if i`ll leave it on.
Jazzed up my Henry 22lr lever action today. Added a fixed 4x scope and also a leather cheek riser I had spare. Quite happy with how it came out , will sight it in tomorrow and put a few rounds down range with it.
My newest take a hike in the woods gun. Should be adequate protection against just about anything.
Nice rifle!! I'm assuming it's 45/70. Isn't it a violation to fire/hunt with a center fire in Illinois?
Thank you. Yes it is a 45/70 Marlin 1895 SBL to be specific. In Illinois you can hunt some things with a rifle. Not deer of course. This particular gun I bought to take to other states such as Alaska and Montana. That and I really wanted one after seeing it in the movie Wind River.
Pretty good movie IMO though I got a good laugh at him shooting at the guys in the trailer
I bought a blue and a stainless 1895 (before Wind River). Sold the stainless, kept the blue one.
This is what I did with the bottom one.
