Lol. They kind of bled together by the end. Took about an hour from start to finish. Fun challenge!
I spy a couple Roughians! (@Outdoor Dauber @Coyote Charlie )...you guys looking to get in on the fun?
I know @Coyote Charlie is after his bushclass III is done!
....The way he is kicking ass he will probably still beat me.
I've been sitting on my last Bushclass 3 task for over a year and half (sewing a garment...I HATE sewing!), lol
Sew up a wool loin cloth!
Looking to. Stoked to get started but want to finish Bushclass Advanced prior to starting. Also need to figure out my video recording and editing plan.
I need to get back in gear finishing Basic Bushclass. I'll get to the Hardwoodsman Challenge once I figure out the video part like @Coyote Charlie.
Good job, @Teeps. One thing we all agreed on was the need for a base and support for you fire prep. A base will get your hard earned shavings off the ground and reduce moisture. A base keeps the other prep off the tinder and shavings, (which you did use).
The 3 fire preps were too close together and resulted in one big fire. The closeness also may have aided the second fire in that the heat made it dryer. You had to move the third one. All that being said, the rules don't specify distance and so we all agree its a go. However, we are going to update the instructions for future Hardwoodsman .
You're doing great, keep it up!!!
Thanks! It was a fun one for sure.
