This is my go to water carrier and cup. I always have it with me in the woods. I did a review on this kit quite a while ago.

In the process of doing this review i became friends with the owner of Heavy Cover, Chris Regan. Any of you that have watched my videos or read my posts might have noticed that I try to get some business for my friends. Like it or not that is just the way I am.

I would like to see some action shots of your kits. I will also be doing some giveaways on this thread. You might want to subscribe to it.

If you are interested in getting a kit or other survival related gear check it out here.

Heavy Cover Inc

Post up your pics folks!!!

I'd love one of those. I don't see your review on Monkey Stomp though.

IA Woodsman,
Does your Vet/Active GAW HC Kit include an HS Ti Spork, if not I'd be willing to send you one to include.

It comes with the MSR filter. It screws over standard nalgene threads and into narrow threaded bottles.

Thanks for the video! Boss lady said I could get whatever I wanted for my B-day and I have been eye balling the HC kit for a while. I think I am going to have to step off and get it, may have to add a spork after your positive review of it. I have been using and really like my Ti LMF spork but it doesn't have the length of the HC.

The kids get my "hand me downs" so if my kit gets upgraded they get up graded too

I like this thread - The HC Mess Kit is a great product, and I hope the company grows because of word of mouth around BCUSA.

Here's my Heavy Cover Canteen Cup hanging out behind my Mors bush pot. I think the Heavy Cover Mess Kit is worth the price, and my concern over the dollar amount melted away over good food on the fire. This is a cherished piece of gear and I'll never part with mine.

Needed,,BCB NATO crusader cup heavy lid.

Heavy Cover Inc. stock a heavy duty lid for the NATO Crusader cup, the lid used to be available here in the UK, but for the last 8 months all stockists have sold out ( at least 6 that I know of) and nobody seems to know when they will be available again, if ever.
I tried to purchase one from Heavy Covers Inc. for $18 (not TI) but they wanted a flat rate of $50 on top to ship to the UK which kinda makes it uneconomical.
Can anybody out there help me with cheaper postage, surely they can't weigh THAT much in the post.
I'd be happy to send money to someone who can get me one and send it cheaper, or a second hand one would be fine, it may be worth noteing that the NATO lids are a different shape to the GI style one and do not fit NATO cups.
Or,,, is there something here in the UK you would like that is unavailable in the States, we could do a trade off,
I know this thread is to promote the latest HC TI kit (which I must say looks amazing)but I am desperately thirsty and my pine needle tea just doesn't taste as good with ash floating on top,
Many thanks in advance

I can't get the whole kit past my bookkeeper, so I'm doing it like Johnny Cash and acquiring it "One Piece At a Time"...

I got the spoon/fork combination and liked it so much I added the canteen cup. I'm using these with the Nalgene Oasis canteen but it's a tight fit so one day, I'll order up the canteen.

probably cost me more in the long run but we do what we can do...

i think you have the best part already - cup and cover. i weighed my oasis and the hc canteen with titanium cap and the oasis was lighter. another plus of the oasis is the captive cap. the ti is perfect for keeping my drinking water warm next to the fire though (i badly deformed an oasis doing just that several winters ago when i forgot about it and the fire got too close to it)...it'd be 50/50 if i was forced to pick only one canteen i can have.

true, but I want a metal water container that I can sterilize by boiling in. having the Titanium one and the Oasis would be good, IMO...

I got a heavy cover for Christmas and I got to give it allot of use on a camping and hiking trip in Utah for 12 days. I used it every day and it was in my pack when I had to drop it of a 30 feet sandstone ledge before I climbed down. It only received a small dent. So far I really like it.
