Scales are beech, definitely carbon steel, 5” blade. Trying to get it cleaned up to put it to use. I know at one time the blade flats were blued. I ask because I want another. This is the full tang puukko blade I’ve been looking for. I thought maybe a Russell or green river works blade, but I can’t find this one. Thoughts?

Has kind of a homemade look to me, but there are a lot smarter knife folks than me on this forum so maybe we will both learn something today. Good luck.

With that cross hatched pattern on the scales I want to say a re-ground Green River

Research is leading me towards Russell Harrington as the maker. Still haven’t found ‘this one’. Regardless- a clean up and rehandle with something shwanky are in its future.

It’s a Russell 2217F. Haven’t been made in some time. I have an email into the folks at Dexter-Russell to see if they can shed any light on this bad boy for me.
