knowing people who have vast amounts of ammo, I'm curious on how many people have more then 100 rounds of lehighs or similar ammo.

I don't have vast amounts of ammo and all the lehighs I have I'm just playing around with in testing.

Lehigh Defense, most of their stuff falls under the exotic bullet category for me but, I’m old school, I have zero btw, I’ll add that some of their stuff reminds me of the black talon defense rounds from way back.

    Zero.

They might be a good idea, but I'm waiting for a major .mil/.gov adoption before I take them seriously. I've been around long enough to remember several visits from The Good Idea Fairy when it comes to ammo that didn't pan out.

I still carry barrier blind bonded service ammo, or for cases when penetration is key, hard cast.

I have quite a bit of both on hand.

Stuff looks promising. Tried to get a local gun store to bring in a box or two for my .380 lcp2. They wanted as much as one box of ammo to bring it in. Said no thanks! So I have zero Lehigh's.

I've thought about loading some in .357, as a hunting load. I mostly shoot hardcast for that duty. The ballistic gel tests I've seen look promising.

For pistol ammo I would rather go with Underwood.
    LD had some QC issues.
    Underwood is loaded hot.

The Extreme Perpetrator and Defense are nothing extra-ordinary.
Mind you I have only looked at these rounds for use against human targets.
A good bonded HP will do just as well.
The permanent wound channel is not different than a good JHP.

I think the only exception would be in .380acp.
In that caliber its either Ball or Underwood ED.
JHP generally does not do well in .380 unless its out of a longer barrel like a Colt 1908 or P230.
The older .380's can have some feeding issues with JHP, LD- ED/EP are more forgiving.

The Maximum Expansion round really expands but often times lacks penetration.

I use them in my carry guns in .380, 9mm, .38 Super, .357 SIG and 10mm so I probably have about 100-120 rounds around the house.

Every 6-9 months or so I burn up the mag that is in the gun and put fresh in....

Best aspect I see with these hydraulic boolits is that they are barrier blind. They dont and are not designed to expand yet they produce wound channels on par with the best HP bullets.

Accept for cost, whats not to love.

I've got quite a few, mostly the controlled chaos and maximum expansion for the 300 blackout.
Have +p controlled fracturing loaded in my glocks.

I have none and to be quite honest I don't plan on buying any until I see some verifiable and consistent performance gains (over other bullet designs) in actual flesh and blood.

I have given their muzzle loader bullets a look, but have not tried them. I have yet to shoot a hog with a muzzle loader, but would be more than happy to try it. :4:

I don't have any. I carry Federal HST or Gold Dots for defense.

I role my own for everything else.
