Have you considered looking @FoxLite Gear ? Awesome stuff, reasonable prices. Sometimes she'll do something you want in another color if you need it. Drop her an PM?

I love the foxlite bags and pouches but don’t think she makes anything comparable to the Hill People Gear kit chest rigs.

Sorry, I didn't see the HPG thing. I saw "grey ripstop kit bags" which she does do.
    Her stuff is awesome though.
    I tried.

I appreciate that. She didn't want to take anything new on.

I know how you feel. I really really want a kit bag, but thats a big chunk of money to spend on something like that. Ive searched and searched for a more affordable alternative but its a one of a kind product.

Here's an alternative ….. I bought one to see if I like the whole kit bag thing, and I loved it so much, I went ahead and sprung for a real HPG kit bag. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07B93B8BQ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o07_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

It's decent enough, I carried it everyday for a month or more, and really liked the setup, BUT I could not keep the straps tight ! They would constantly slip ….. I modded it by rerouting the straps through the buckles with limited success ….. Still slipped. Probably could have fixed it with some ranger bands or something, but I found one at HPG, in stock, so I pulled the trigger, and I'm glad I did !

Got my HPG heavy recon bag last week, and it is rock solid, no slippage, fits me much better, and is of much greater quality, but the Amazon knockoff is still not that bad for the price.

I actually did buy one of these. I have an idea about a front and back kit bags on the same straps. I didn't really want to cut a HPG kit apart so I went this route. The straps will be sewn to the other kit bag so I won't need to worry about slippage. This one will ride on my back opposite the HPG on the front. It's bigger than my kit now so let's hope the items I have earmarked for it fit.
