It was originally selling for $23. When I checked it earlier it was under $12 to ship it here to Hawaii but I checked again and it went up in shipping.

On an off note I just picked up a new Bahco Laplander on Amazon for about $8. I went to the "Other sellers on Amazon" section and opened up that section to see all the sellers. A lot of times there's a company selling the item super cheap.

I went on there after reading your reply and bought one as well. It's a brand new seller, so my guess is it will either be a fake or canceled because of a pricing error. It's worth a shot either way. If it's a fake Amazon will take care of it.

How will you know if it's a replica? I didn't even know Bahco clones existed.

It's worth a shot if you don't need it for an upcoming trip. You will likely never see the saw. I've ordered two from new vendors and had to get Amazon to refund my money as they never shipped.

I don't know that there is, but it's a popular saw, so it wouldn't shock me if it says Pacho on it ;) Mine says preparing for shipment, so we may actually get them.

Back to that hatchet. Can someone share photos of what kinds of jobs they did with it? I got one for Christmas, but I have yet to have a real "success" with using it for any kind of wood splitting. Wondering if I'm using pieces that are too large for it to handle, or it's because I'm so pathetically weak

This is a legit seller, so I'd jump on this as they may honor the price even if it is an error. I have one or I'd get one.

90% of my hatchet swinging involves the contact method. I've been "honing" my skills using Wound Wash (pressurized sterile water), and creating butterfly band aids from duct tape to close wounds every 5-8 years. (and just because I'm over due, doesn't mean I need another camper in my site to chop into their shin). I just missed the "fun" with Sandcut on a NE PA trip a year or two ago.

I prefer Hultafors over Husqvarna,at least my Hult.hunter's ax.It keeps it's razor edge, while the Hussqvarna is tougher to get an edge at all.I gave the hatchet to a buddy, and he couldn't get it much sharper.I used a Lansky puck sharpener on it,but got no where. The Hultafors I have no problem maintaining it's edge.

The tracking information on mine says "Carrier: 4px" with a broken link. I'm guessing it's like someone mentioned in another thread where they send you a fake tracking number and it never shows up. It looks like their storefront is gone as well. We'll see...

Which vendor did you order yours from? When I checked it was GM suppliers out of the U.K. and that should be a legit vendor. It will take up to two weeks to get it but you should get it.

I received mine last night from GM Suppliers. It came with one heck of a burr (strop took care it) and the handle grain is not the best, not going to complain for nice hatchet for $32.

My friend ordered one when I posted about this and he got his in on Saturday and I got to take a look at it. The edge is rough but sharp but overall compared to GB it is rough around the edges. It doesn't have that nice convex edge, it has a messy v-grind. The head overall doesn't look to shabby, it seems like they put a little more finish into the head than a GB but not so much like a department store axe.

The handle feels dry so I'm gonna check back with my friend when he oils it in a few days. It felt good in the hand but it isn't set up for carving as holding it up high just under the head is uncomfortable.

He paid $27 shipped for that hatchet and I say he got a great deal for sure. Hopefully you guys got yours!

I ordered two, they only shipped one.

Looks like I either 1)lucky, or 2) "hand select" though. Grain on handle is perfect. Alignment of head is spot on. Sharpening was even/acceptable. Much better than the one I got a month or two off of e-bay. Both of them would still be considered a bargain at anything under $40

I just received mine. Seems legit. Not extremely sharp, but I can work on it. Definitely worth at least $16. I will need to get or make a new blade cover.

FYI, these are on sale again. I just bought one for about $29.00. The ad says about $18 but the shipping is about $11.00 so for a total of $29 you can grab one.

These are still one sale at a buck or 2 less than I paid a few days ago. They are from a different supplier now though.

Mine just arrived today. One week from the UK is not bad at all. It is not perfect, but for $29, I'm happy with it. It is actually sharper than I expected, but I'll spend an hour or two sharpening it and then refinish the handle to get it how I want it.
