I can't bite my tongue any longer. I am a member of Axe Junkies on Facebook but I need to get out of it. I cannot hold my tongue when I see another enthusiastic axe junkie showing off his super high polished edge on a 60° bevel. I don't know if that axe will ever make actual contact with a piece of wood but it won't matter how sharp or polished that edge is. The axe is going to suck and suck hard. We are talking suck starting an 18 wheeler hard sucking. This is a huge pet peeve of mine. We are not supposed to be negative but no one is doing that poor dope a favor by keeping him ignorant. I get so frustrated. A 30° edge profile is included, so 15° a side. Not 30° to 40° per side. Most of my axes are eye balled between 25° and 30° included. If you have a blunt edge profile you will never understand what you are missing. Please take the time to educate yourself and your entire axe experience will be completely different.
