Recommended load is only 40 gr.
    I'm sure you'll still feel a bite, but it shouldn't be wrist-breaking.

40 grains and 1/2 oz of shot in a 12 bore is a very weak load.

needs to handle 125-150 grains and 2 oz loads to be interesting.

    also needs choke tubes.

    Should be fun !!

Got a link to a 1.6 pound 6 inch barrel 10 inches overall one with choke tubes ?

I’ll prabbaly take my old smith governor and other 410s out the same trip. From shooting those I’m sure I’ll be just fine with some weaker loads for fun

It might be weak, but from point blank to across-the-room distances, it'll still be lethal.

Do YOU wanna get shot with it? Cause I sure as hell wouldn't.

    I concur 40gr is weak.
I shoot 40gr out my Pietta 1858 Remington.

The wood isn't wood. Wish the barrels were a little longer.

If they were smart, they could make the receiver so it accepts a commonly available shotgun stock (Mossberg or Remington).

I guess you’re on your own for a loading rod. Their suggested load happens to be one Pyrodex pellet, I wonder if that a happy accident or by design. Either way you’ll need powder, wads and shot to run this, frankly I’m not sure it’s worth the bother.

I shoot a caplock TC New englander 12 gauge and with 90 grains FFg and a 490 grain .690 patched roundball I get about 1040 fps.(this is a synthetic stock- dont try this with a wood stock New Englander as it may crack the stock at the wrist).

Not having luck chronographing the shot load.

I doubt you can get 500 fps from 40 grains FFg in a 12 bore.

cool idea, but i think the Pedersoli Howdah would
be my choice. Wish pedersoli made a 12 gauge version.

yeah will be interesting getting some ballistic data. Again I' m not sure if theres any thing like this 1.6 pound 6 inch barreled 10 inches overall on the market.

I don't think the pedersoli has choke tubes.

Spare barrel sets in longer lengths would be cool

Reading on other forums, supposedly these come with a ramrod.

That being said, I haven't read 1 single account of anyone that paid the company receiving one of it's products.

All parts for your pistol are now complete, the production run is finished now. We need to send some items out for polishing and then finishing. The pistol in the picture below was built from the same production run part sets that your gun will be assembled with, fit and finish is very nice. Note the pistol shown has not been polished yet, this is just mill finish parts assembled to test final fit on the parts run.

Give us a few more weeks please, we will contact you a week prior to shipment
    Thank you
    Tim

Your load will take up about three inches of the barrel leaving only 3” for it to develop anything before leaving the tube. I’d say for anything other than the closest of ranges you’ve purchased a glorified noise maker. Smokeless you can cut barrels down to crazy short lengths and still get something potent, BP needs barrel length to be anything besides a flame thrower.

20 bore (.62) or 24 bore (.58) would be more practical and efficient, but then again, I'm thinking patched roundballs instead of shot. .69" patched roundballs were more fun than I appreciated in my 12 bore TC Tree Hawk. A load like that would be brutal in a pistol.

I load 85gr ffg under 1-1/8oz in 2-3/4" plastic shotshells with a fold crimp, so only 2-1/2" long. Half the powder and less than half the shot won't take up too much room, but don't expect it to be much more than a short range snake shooter-2 legged or not. Heavier loads are apt to dislodge the 2nd load from the unfired barrel, so is likely why the low recommendation.
