As of 8/10/19, I keep getting pop ups on my iPhone when I am on BCUSA. Anyone else having this problem? They are just he usual congratulations and you get something free pop ups.

I’ve cleaned my browsing history and cookies. And BCUSA is the only site where I have this problem.

Is there a rogue ad causing problems?

I’m also having this problem. It makes the site almost impossible to browse, and seems worst in the trade blanket.

I had the same issue on another site. Yea, it’s a real PIA.

I’ve been getting an add for a $1000 Visa card every time I try to log on.
I’ve been logging on through google.

I can see yours is current, wonder why you're seeing an ad? I don't get any unless my membership lapses. No popups, nothing.

    Puzzling...

I too have an ad being blocked by my popup blocker right now.

My membership expires.... never, so it is a bit puzzling?

Yes it looks like there is something going on, not sure exactly what but we are aware and are trying to figure it out. By we I mean Guy since I can barely do anything here. Obviously it’s malicious code that’s worked it way in here somewhere. So we do know about it and as soon as we get it figured out we’ll get things back to normal. I’ve seen this before on other sites I’ve been to before so I understand it’s annoying. For now just collect your free iPhone and enjoy your $1,000 cash prize. It now appears that it doesn’t matter if you normally see ads on here or not you can still have issues with this one. If anyone has experience with this please feel free to message me.

Has anyone gotten a “PC load letter” error?

I was getting that too and once it popped up I couldn't get rid of it so I got one of the cleaning apps and that seems to have taken care of it.

Tech support did a malware scan on the server and there is nothing on our end. They stated that all they can see is banner ads.

If everyone is getting it on a specific page only, or doing a specific function, that would help us figure out where the interface is between your device and the site, which may be triggering the incident(s).

Nothing on my iPad, but I’m confident it is a user issue. Hopefully someone can identify it.

Try a different browser, at least as a test. I bet the problem goes away.

It's probably frikkin Nigerians they are the kings of scams. This happened before several months ago and it was the same exact pop up saying attn Android user you have won a chance to win a $1000.00 Walmart gift certificate.

It’s not user error. Using another browser won’t fix Jason’s issue. A quick Google search suggests the pop ups are website based, not user. For example, some have suggested removing the Adsense ad codes because of a malicious Adsense ad unit—a website based problem.

Curious if it’s an invasion of certain ISPs on the user end.

I am having the same problems. I was using safari on iphone and would get the redirects to the walmart $1000 gift card page when I would open the supporter’s trade blanket. The rest of the forum worked, at first. Before long every page on the forum would redirect. I tried clearing the history and website data but it didn’t help. If I turned off JavaScript I didn’t get the redirects but it also impacted the functionality of the site. I’m using firefox for iOS without issue now, but Safari still has the problem. Frustrating, hope you can figure it out soon!

I didn’t say user error. I said user issue... the browser.
From the server folks “Blocking the ad domain at the server would not keep the ads from loading, unfortunately - the Javascript that causes the pop-up is run in the browser directly”

My browser doesn’t allow such nonsense. Different browser will fix it. :14:

Seems to be working better now, I was also having issues on an a Samsung Note 8 phone.

Previously, when I entered the forum name in google and clicked on the forum link, it took off on endless ads. I was never able to get to the website to log in.

I had this problem last week when I let my supporter sub run out. (hard times financially right now)

However, I managed to buy a 3 month sub yesterday and I haven’t had a pop up since.
