    Whatever your opinions on nuclear power... having less available power has created some interesting problems.

    New England electric rate-payers must also contend with carbon-guilt-tax on electricity generated from fossil fuels.

    Even wood pellets can get scarce at certain times of the year.

    Even though I don't live in a cold environment such as New England I started my cold weather preps this year. My goal is two years worth (700+ days) of heating and lighting on tap. This just gives me more incentive to prepare for bad weather.
