People from kentucky: let's get a spring meet together. Obviously surrounding areas as well. :) also, if there's a better place for this thread, happy to move it, I'm just not so well acquainted with the forum.

Would a guy from SW Ohio be welcome? Getting Ohio bushcrafters together for a meet hasn't worked for me so far.

Since I just got home from the Tennessee meet last night, it will all depend on timing for me. But I'll make it if I can.

Will this be held at a SP or private property? What town or part of Kentucky would this meet up take place?

And it won't be on my land I got permission from my neighbor to access the 6000 acres..he's into primitive living and probably join us just found out today thAt it was more acres than what I had originally thought. so we would have more accessibility to more water and foliage and wild mushrooms and such

Ouch, Edmonton is about 3 hours south for me. Not that I wouldn't drive that for a BCUSA member meet up but it might be a little short notice. I'll keep watching the thread to see if you guys hash this out.

@dhenson0 , thanks for responding. Not at all familiar with Red River Gorge but seems you are. Where would a group likely gather for a meet up? Would it be in the backcountry which would involve some backpacking or one of the campgrounds? Can you offer any details or ideas?

When we had a small meet up there once we stayed up on top of the gorge at one of the pulloffs. they have good areas for camping and give plenty of wilderness.

Hey guys sorry I've Been so busy, landscaping is a nightmare in spring. The cold Temps don't even stop us. Ha. So right now, it seems @Kairos has a good spot of ground in Metcalfe county, that sounds great, if we could all make it there. And then, the other most centrally located site is the gorge. Which is easy to find but not probably as fun, as his available spot. My vote is for @Kairos spot. But I'm available to either. What dates is everyone throwing around? I said 22 april, because it's far enough in the future. Again, sorry for the absence, so glad to see this interest!!

So I've been looking over some of the other meets and not so sure my land will work out..I figured we'd all hike into a spot..it looks as though people prefer to drive up with a lot of stuff ..the places I have offered will be a hike for sure .let me know what everyone is planning .boys where I live is rural !!

ok brothers got a great update!!! I got a perfect spot for the meet up !! Only down fall is it cant take place on the 22 of April but and it's a huge butt let me tell you the folowing weekend Friday 28th.... The man that is letting me do this is willing to teach a class as well as a few other things..he wants to know if y'all would be interested in a wilderness survival and or a substance living? And the reason for not being able to do it on the 22nd is he has a reenactment that weekend.and he had asked to do it the prior weekend..and it can last for as long as we want that weekend or that full next week.the man that will be doing the class is a primitive living professor and Leto a special forces instructor(retired) so we have a few options to do wilderness. Straining/avoiding detection and few other skills or the other substance living..my vote is wilderness survival..but think we should take a vote so here goes !!! Let me know if that following weekend will work for y'all and what if any class y'all would like to do..thanks

Man this is outstanding. Only problem is I'll not be able to attend since I'll be out of town the weekend of the 28th and May the 5th. Good luck and have a great time! Catch you on the next one.

I'm pretty sure I could make it down by the afternoon of 4/29. Anything I could learn would be great. I like keeping busy, learning and doing, lol! How much of a hike to the camping area? Thanks for seeking this opportunity!

Man that sounds so awesome, unfortunately I have a show in Somerset to play that weekend, but honestly I'd love for those of you who can make that to do it. And @Kairos, if there's any other time that we could get town there, I'd be obliged to meet up with you!

I may be able to make it out for this meetup. Looks like a 9 hour drive, so not too bad.
Will be watching for a solid date.
