I have a love affair with knives and the next step is to start making them.

I have a pretty nice setup to get me going. I have no idea if/when I'll start selling them.

Most of you who know me, know that my quality standards are very high and I will be keeping them high in this next foray of my making of things.

    Stand by for sharp thingies...

any early design ideas or philosophies you want to share? you have good taste in knives, i'd be interested in seeing how it translates to making them.

Good eye! It is 36 grit. I don't have any steel yet. I'm refurbishing a knife for someone.

    Ordered 3/32" & 1/8" Nitro-V and 5/32" & 3/16" 80CrV2 to start with. We'll see how it goes.

Can't wait to see what you come up with. Really like the bottom one you drew up, there seams to be an abundance of smaller fixed blades out there but not so many on the larger side.
