Hi guys,I wanted to ask a question about having a knife in louisiana.I've got some relatives in louisiana and when I go to visit we do alot of fishing and bushcraft type stuff, and I want to bring a mora when I go there next and I couldn't find what the maximum length that a fixed blade can be.I would only use it for general utility stuff(cleaning fish and other animals and just random cutting tasks)So do any of you know if that would be allright?

they sell machetes and at least 4" blades at Walmart here. might be bigger, but i couldn't swear to it. guessing there's no restriction. i personally prefer a 3-4" blade, no longer, outside my machete. you ought to be fine up to that.

i just did a quick google search, and there's lots of info out there. not sure what's valid though, but it looks like there were some gov't sites listed. i think the biggest deal is concealed folders and switchblades.

Check out this site, I think it is all subjective in terms of what are you doing at such time. Anything can be deemed a weapon by a victim or LEO. I think over all you are fine.
