The KoreTemp Modular Shelter Half is made to be used in several ways.

    • A stand alone one person lean-to
    • Snap a KoreTemp Modular Poncho to make a Baker style tent
    • Tie in a Emergency Space blanket to reflect heat from a fire
    • Attach clear plastic in the front to make a Mors Kochanski style super shelter
The Modular Shelter Half weighs only 12.2 oz with the provided stuff sack.

The main section of the Shelter Half is 58" wide by 93" long. The sides are 48" at the base and 36" high.

Apx 37 degree set up angle.

    There are no grommets.

The tan nylon tape tabs are bar tacked, and reinforced. There are 7 stake tabs, 5 on the back and 1 on each wing.

There are 10 double sided snaps, and 3 tabs on the ridge of the shelter.

OD Brown color matches the KoreTemp Modular Poncho . Manufactured in the USA from materials made in the USA.

The Shelter half and poncho are on my list of things to buy this month, this combo is exactly what I have been looking for in a expedient shelter set up.

Some of the pics look green... this is the same color as the Enhanced MEST Poncho (a.k.a. KoreTemp Poncho)?

That is a sweet set up for normal sized people. I sure wish that it would work with the longer poncho that I bought from you awhile back. I love that thing and will not go back to a normal size poncho. Being a big guy, it seems like I never can find any of the cool things that fit and was thrilled when you offered the longer version. Oh well, such is life when you are Sasquatch sized.

I have a weird question,...can you snap 2 shelter halfs together?

If we have USGI poncho, will it work?

    @IA Woodsman :
Do you have a photo of both the shelter half and poncho in stuff sacks with something like a canteen for comparison? With a loose stuff(not using the stuff sacks) would both fit into an Alice pack pouch?

    Thanks!
    Andy

No size comparison but this is what the shelter half looks like right out of the mailing package.
*Pretty sure this doesn't answer your question though...*

Here's a poncho. Fits easily into a 2L stuff sack, you don't have to have a masters in origami to make it fit.
