Took off after work and headed 6 hours north. Had a crazy storm on the way up. My dad hasn't been to Tahquamenon fall so we checked out upper and lower falls and hand lunch at the brewery. Ive never knew how remote some of the U.P. really was. Using the Gaia app on my phone and taking over an hour on dirt roads that went from 2 lane to single lane and then to skinny single/two track. We took my dads Ridgeline and where afraid we were going to get it stuck. It handled the loose sand very well actually. Ended up coming to a dead end and didn't really have a plan on where to camp. There was a hill that we decided to climb to see where we could set up camp. The view of Superior Trail we came down Ended up find a place just off the North Country Trail and Superior was only 200 yards away. The weather was 65 during the day and low 50's at night. Had a good breeze coming off superior so bugs where never an issue.
