I have a used , but very serviceable Leatherman Wingman up for grabs. I got this as a promo and have used it but not abused it. It has spring loaded pliers which are a nice feature, and a basic tool set which you can google if you are so inclined.

I have a similar Leatherman model and don't really need this Wingman so it can be yours. All you have to do is have over 200 posts and go on an outing where you'll build a fire in the woods and cook a snack or meal of some type over it. After that you can just relax, or bushcraft stuff like mad. I may just use a random number generator to choose the winner, but if someone does something during the outing that stands out to me, I may just pick that person due to the extra effort they put forth.

You'll need to post pics of the event on this thread. The kicker is this...you must start the fire with newspaper ignited via ferro rod (Easy!) and show the date on on the paper with your ferro rod by it. The date as to be at least the date of this post or later. That way I know you aren't just posting some archival footage of some past fire and cook out you have done.

This GAW will run until the end of Dec. That should give you plenty of time to get it done.

May the Genie in this tool serve you well.

Cool GAW. Thanks for your generosity. I'm not in, as I have a few multitools already. Plus, I don't get the newspaper.

I have one and they're nice, it replaced my need to buy a Wave because really this was all I need. Yes the spring loaded pliers are a nice feature.

Thanks for doing the GAW. Not in.

Just want to say thanks for your generosity.
Folks, if you don't already own a multitool you need to get in on this. Once you have one you will wonder how you got along without.

Not in, but great GAW! I have two Sidekick's and a Wingman... all great tools. I like to pair this with other tools in the field, the pliers come in handy so much more often than you'd imagine.

The Wingman is a great EDC multitool as well. Scissors, flat and phillips screwdrivers, a cool clamshell package opener, outside accessible main blade that lock (partially serrated), a few other tools I cant think of.

I love these type of GAW's because it let's you go out and make a fire. Fire's always fun to make. Only problem for me is there's not really a place to do that here.

Nice GAW! Very generous of you! I'm not in as I have a Charge I need another multi-tool like I need another hole in my head.

    Brats to the eventual winner!

There are local BBQ Grills at parks but I'm unsure if I'll be able to find enough park wood to keep the fire going for a meal. I'll have to give it a shot though.

I would do it, but I am not at 200 posts. I am definitely in the market for a new multi-tool (mine is junk) lol. If you decided to lower the post requirement, I will do it.

I'm in if eligible. When you ask for 200 posts, do you mean comments or start 200 new threads?

Went out today and did mine! First thing I did was set up my DD superlight tarp in a ravine away from the wind. Used my Hidden Woodsmen Dayruck to haul everything in.

    IMG_3829.JPG

Today's paper with my ferro rod

    IMG_3830.jpg

Then I split up some small wood with the Fiddleback Kephart

    IMG_3831.JPG

    IMG_3832.JPG

Tried to do my fire in my Firebox stove but I can never get it to work for me... Just not my thing. So I cleared away some dirt and started the fire on the bare ground (super wet after rain this morning).

    IMG_3834.JPG

    IMG_3835.JPG

Then my phone, my only camera died... I put it in my pocket and let it warm up and it came back to life long enough to get a couple pictures of my snack that I made. I baked croissants in my 2L mors pot inside of my snowpeak bowl. They came out pretty well. I left them on just a little too long and the bottoms burned. I also tried cooking dough on a stick which worked alright as well.

Thanks for the chance for this awesome give away and for getting me outside to try something new!

So my son had his friend over at the house. They were doing some gaming inside, driving my wife a little cuckoo. So I grabbed my axe and my sons Swiss Army knife and asked them if they wanted to play while showing them the tools:). They were already acting a little crazy, but they got even more excited at the option to use sharp tools. I started showing them how to hold the knife and axe and we practiced feather sticks. Then decided to make a fire. At this point I remembered your GAW. So I stole my wife's Sunday paper. She was a bit worried I was about to burn it all. Haha. So after the fire was started I grabbed a bit of bacon and cooked it up. Overall was a really fun day with the kids. On top of that, once they started using the tools, they started concentrating and listening. It's amazing how that works:)
