Here are some of my recent carvings!
Post up some of your own carvings!
That little guy is cool!
I've posted these in other threads. All pieces I made from bits of a mahogany table. Fish gorges and burned in hammer hammer handle are stained in teak oil. Spoon and fork are unstained.
Different hat and it's a spitting image of ya!
Those fish hooks are neat I need to make some!
I might have to make one with a different hat now!
Here are some book marks I made and burned the logo in to them.

All the carving look really good.

A few Carvings of mine:
I previously spent a lot of time playing with model railroads and making models. All but the little fat man are 1:24 scale.
Here is a cigar store indian, my first attempt at carving a figure. I needed him for the porch of a Tobacco and Gun Emporium.
This fellow is the only one of these too... I need to do more of them.
And this guy needed an anvil so he could make some tools. (I only carved the anvil)
And of course, if one runs railroads, there must be a photographer available. Here he is testing his new camera. (I made the camera, not the figures)
Their crazy simple to make. They dont get snagged when left to soak in a current. A wrasp and file. a small round file for center groove. chainsaw file works great and are cheap. Just pick the toughest wood you can find. Size them according to fish your after.
wow those are cool!
thanks! ill try one and post it here.
Now I know who's been whittling away their time. Nice work you all.
Whoa that’s awesome
it's nothing fancy, but here's a naalbinding needle i just carved. not sure what wood, but it was a fun little thing to try to get the dimensions right. i did sand it, and then oiled and burnished with the antler. for the use it will have, i needed a really smooth finish and the antler is great for that. but i will be wood burning some sort of design on it, just 'cause i can't leave well enough alone.
